Chloe had thrown another party for the class. There had been another akuma attack. This time, it hadn't been caused by her but a PA that was tired of his boss's pushy demands.
Akuma cleansed and everything fixed.
Marinette slipped out of the room where the party was- this time on another floor, with a balcony- for some fresh air. She yelped when she saw who was standing there, looking at the city.
Chat Noir looked up, a smile appearing. "Hello Princess." He had started calling her that since they first met, and it continued as she let him onto her balcony. So, the nickname wasn't new.
"Hey." she said, moving to stand next to him. "Ladybug already left. What are you doing, still transformed?"
"Eh, just felt like staying in suit for a bit longer." he answered, giving a shrug. His green eyes glanced at the room, filed with her classmates. "There's a party going on. Why aren't you there?"
She shrugged. "Needed some air."
He nodded, looking back over the city. Silence ruled for a little bit longer, then the music inside changed to a slow song. Nino must've wanted to dance with Alya again.
Marinette looked up when Chat offered his hand. "A dance for your knight, Princess?"
She chuckled, but placed her hand in his. He smiled as he drew her close, placing a hand on her waist. Her free hand rested on his shoulder as he started to lead.
As the song drew to a close, he twirled her. As he caught her, the last chords of the song played.
And they kissed.
As the music changed to a steady beat, their eyes opened. Quickly, they separated.
"I-I'm so sorry!"
"Why are you sorry!? I should be sorry!"
"Why should you be sorry?"
"Because..."
Marinette and Chat blinked at each other, uncertain. He gulped, rubbing the back of his head. "Because I kissed you without permission?" he tried. She stared at him, a giggle escaping her.
"Don't be."
He opened his mouth to reply, but shut it as his ring beeped. "I...I need to-"
"Yeah, yeah. Bye!"
"Bye!"
As he disappeared, Marinette's fingers rose to her lips. They still tingled. As her blush died down, she turned and went back inside. "Where were you?" Alya asked. "I couldn't find you."
"I...Air."
Neither girl noticed Adrien watching Marinette from behind a wall. He flattened himself against it, pressing his fingers to his lips.
A secret was kept.
