Banjo and Kazooie were hanging around near their humble house in Spiral Mountain after coming back from going all around the vast Isle O' Hags, with Banjo in particular being tired as the bear had to carry Kazooie in his blue backpack, his yellow shorts soaking with sweat.
"Whoa... I need a bed," Banjo said as he wiped his forehead, collapsing on the smooth green grass that was right in front of his home as he was exhausted from walking around.
Kazooie shook her feathery head, the red breegull bird poking out of the backpack as she had her wings on top of the pack. "Come on, can't you at least do this inside the house? You know it's going to-"
Thunder boomed loudly as lightning began flashing, with the bright blue sky instantly replaced by stormy clouds as it began to pour harshly, soaking the meadow.
"...Rain." Kazooie concluded as she sneezed, getting out of the backpack and dragging Banjo into the house, only to see a gamepad with a joystick in the center attached to a small CRT set, with a game of pong playing on the screen. "Huh... when did we have that?"
"Corr, I don't know. Maybe we got it as a gift...?" Banjo commented as he scratched his head, proceeding to head onto his bed as he really wanted to snooze off.
Kazooie glanced between the thunderstorm outside and Banjo snoozing, with the breegull deciding to close the door as she sat in front of the TV, deciding to play some pong as she felt like doing something.
"While you snooze away, I'll keep myself at bay!" Kazooie snarked as she got herself focused in the game, looking in closely to the screen as she was proving her skill with ease.
