Jessie stepped out of the Normandy airlock, onto the cesspool of crime and death that was Omega. The air stank of metal and pollution, and already Jessie wanted to be out of this place. But she had one last job to do here.
She'd already recruited Mordin and Garrus. Helped cure a plague for the first and slaughtered three armies of mercenaries for the second. Now, she just had to go speak with Aria T'Loak, and take care of some⦠Business.
Afterlife was loud and filled with people. Jessie cringed. She'd always hated crowds and loud music. As she approached the stairs that led up to where people told her that Aria sat, the Batarian guard snarled.
"You're that human that's been stirring up trouble around here," he growled, taking a step towards her. He seemed almost ready to attack Jessie, but obviously thought better of it. "Aria wants to see you. Now."
Jessie smirked and shouldered past the batarian, sauntering up the steps towards the balcony. She could already see five guards stationed around it.
Aria was facing away from Jessie when she first caught sight of the Asari. Blue bitch was arrogant, that much was clear to Jessie. Arrogance pissed her off.
A guard grabbed Jessie by the shoulder to stop her from moving closer to Aria. Jessie could easily escape the grasp, but felt no need to at that moment.
"You think you can just waltz onto MY station and fuck with MY people, without MY permission, and get away with it?" Aria said without turning around. "And then you have the gall to actually come to me?"
Aria slowly spun around and met Jessie's gaze with eyes that betrayed hatred and anger. Jessie smirked and just stared back.
Aria remained silent for a few minutes, then turned back away and waved a hand.
"Kill her. Dump the body," she said nonchalantly, as if ordering a drink. And Jessie struck.
Using a move she'd learned from Kasumi, Jessie dropped a flashbang while simultaneously cloaking. The guards were blinded and Jessie was able to slip behind Aria when she spun around at the noise.
"Number one rule of Omega is don't fuck with Aria, right?" Jessie whispered into the Asari's ear, pressing a heavy pistol into the base of her neck. "Never was much for rules anyway." There was a loud bang, and then silence.
Jessie dropped the body and decloaked. The guards, once they could see again, looked from Aria's corpse to Jessie and back, then one by one dropped to one knee.
Jessie dropped onto the couch and motioned for the guards to stand. "All hail the motherfucking queen," she whispered.
