Howdy, I've decided to just play around with a fun little idea I had. What if a person from our world appearing in Naruto became a Bijuu instead of a person?
This first chapter is just touching on some main childhood events before moving into the main story. I'm not spending 80k words on it, I don't have that kind of time.
For my other readers, I am working on chapters for my other works, as I'm now on holidays. So those should come along soon.
Hope you enjoy.
Reincarnation, the cycle of being born anew. Inter-dimensional reincarnation, not really a thing, I think, but the name is self-explanatory, being reborn in another dimension. Inter-dimensional reincarnation but the dimension was a 'fictional' series where life was shit? A fucking joke, a sick cosmic joke.
I'm familiar with the idea of reincarnation into a fictional world, fans of franchises wrote interesting stories around the premise. Now usually, when someone is born into the world of Naruto, they are either a random individual with no ties to the main characters, or they're a sibling to one of the characters and finally, they become a main character like Sasuke. They all get to run around, train, and try to either fuck up the world or save it.
Me? Well… My soul has drifted in the afterlife for who knows how long, an eternal void. I don't know how I entered Death's cold embrace, was it getting hit by a car while walking? Was it a sudden heart attack that cause me to drop dead. I didn't know, I was there and then I wasn't, the void greeted me and become a constant for my barely aware soul. Then suddenly, light, something physical in the distance. I don't recall what happened next.
I found myself coming to.
"Wha-Where? Where am I? What happened?" I murmured. I noticed my voice was very deep, powerful, it was certainly not my normal voice. And then came the panicking, I couldn't bloody well move! Pain shot through my body, what the hell was going on?!
I looked down and I was shocked, I couldn't believe it.
A huge orange body and massive tails, all pinned down.
I have been given the privilege, nay, the pleasure, of having my soul inhabit the Kyuubi from Naruto. Fucking Naruto! This had to be some sort of sick dream. There was no way that I was here and the Kyuubi of all things. How was this possible? Why am I here? WHY WAS I THE KYUUBI?!
"What the fuck?!" I roared. I'm now the Kyuubi, power incarnate. This had to be some sick dream. There was no way I had died and become a part of Naruto. Not just any part, I'd become a being that was coveted by everyone for its power. But how?! How did this happen? This surely couldn't be real.
And why couldn't I move? Wasn't Naruto meant to have some sort of sewer system… oh, oh. This had to be… Kushina. Well, that's just great.
All of a sudden, I could feel a malicious power surround me. I felt like something was staring right into my soul. I didn't like it one bit.
"Now then, come out, Kyuubi!"
And I could make out the haunting gaze of a sharingan, Tobi.
'Son of a bit-'
My mind was torn apart and brought under Tobi's will, everything began to blur and I came to a chilling realisation.
I wasn't dreaming, it was real.
I was semi-aware of what was going on around me, but fully coming to was not a pleasant experience. The first thing that I noticed, I was freaking huge! Everyone below me was like an ant. And all of them were zipping around and throwing explosive tags. And it was annoying. The constant barrage was quickly pissing me off.
'Stop it, bugger off!' I swatted away a barrage of explosive kunai. The fast motion had the effect of creating a devastating blast of wind, which killed dozens of shinobi and obliterated surrounding buildings.
I stared, stunned. I did that? Did I just… kill people? Oh shit. I just erased the area with a flick of my… hand, paw? This was too much to take in all at once. I'd just KILLED someone. Their lives were ended simply because I defended myself. I felt sick and simultaneously... I felt nothing. There was a certain degree of apathy towards their deaths. But why? How could I feel slightly apathetic towards it all?
I didn't have any time to dwell on it as the barrage of kunai and jutsu began again.
A giant staff extended and slammed me outside of the village. That was it! I'm sick of being knocked around, let's see how they like it!
I instantly opened my mouth, my rage and desire to fight overcame my senses. Chakra began to form in my mouth.
'IS THAT A DAMN BIJUU BOMB?!' I didn't mean to do that! I didn't want to wipe Konoha off the face of the earth. It just formed in my anger, creating it was as natural as moving a limb. It was strange.
Before I could even think of stopping my attack, I was slammed into the ground by a giant toad.
I groaned, that sucker was heavy.
"It's Lord Fourth!" Random shinobi shouted.
And in that instant, the world around me vanished, replaced with a thick forest. I released the Bijuu Bomb into the air. It was slightly unstable and exploded in the night sky. I couldn't help the awe I felt. Seeing something that big and powerful go off, it was like looking at the sun. And I could fire those super 'nukes' off whenever? That was a terrifying thought.
And then came the chains. They sprung out of the ground, wrapping around my tails, my arms and legs and neck. I couldn't bloody well move, again.
I traced the source of the chains to a red head. She was beautiful. Uzumaki Kushina.
And next to here was Namikaze Minato and a baby.
Wait a minute… OH, NO! I was not about to be sealed inside Naruto, no sir. My first few moments in this world have been garbage and I'm not about to be trapped inside a human for decades on end.
Kushina screamed as I thrashed about, trying to break free of her hold.
"Hurray Minato! I can't hold the Kyuubi much longer!"
I tried my best but it was of no use, Minato performed the Reaper Death Seal. I watched as a supernatural hand, I tried to recoil from its cold touch. But it was useless with Kushina holding me in place, it latched onto half of my soul. I thrashed as hard as I could to shake off the icy cold grip of death. I was rewarded for my efforts by having half of my soul being stripped from me and sealed inside Minato. It was absolutely excruciating.
I glared with all the hatred I could muster. Good guy or not, Minato just ripped out half of my damn soul.
Minato talked about sealing me inside Naruto, Kushina was horrified at the idea. But Minato brought up something, the Masked Man, he was out there and would strike again. Being sealed inside Naruto would give him the power to stop the Masked Man.
I shifted my gaze to Naruto. I didn't want to be sealed away, I didn't want to be trapped inside him. Hell, I haven't even been 'alive' in this world for a few hours. I've fallen under mind control, caused the deaths of countless of shinobi and civilians and been attacked by thousands of kunai and jutsu. I haven't been able to properly process this shit, and I'm faced with this decision. If I was able to remain free, I'd be hunted down by Tobi and the Akatsuki, alone. I would be captured and be united with the other Bijuu to form the Juubi.
My smaller size gave me the chance to try break free, or even attack Naruto which would lead the quick deaths of Minato and Kushina.
I groaned, a weird sound for both Minato and Kushina to hear. They gave me a strange look.
I can't believe I was even considering it, but my existence as the Kyuubi left me with little choice.
I wasn't going to fight it, I'll let Minato perform the sealing with no complications, they will both die soon afterwards but they'll have more time to say their goodbyes to Naruto.
I offered no resistance as Minato performed the seal. But as the Kyuubi, freedom would never be an option, this would the closest I'd ever get. And Naruto wasn't a bad guy, doesn't mean though that I can't have some fun as the big, bad Kyuubi though.
And then I found the world changing around me, no longer was I out in the real world, but I was in a sewer, locked behind a large jail door. I was officially sealed within Naruto. Kill me now. I could 'see' the outside world as it were, sense it and hear everything in proximity to Naruto. Hiruzen had arrived on the scene with a platoon of ANBU. They stayed with Minato and Kushina as they had proper goodbyes with Naruto and each other, slowly passed away.
I suppose all I could do now was sit and do… nothing…
"I WANT OUT!" I roared, my pleas not heard by anyone.
As much as I didn't like being caged up, it was the best outcome really. Though I didn't consider the boredom.
I awkwardly sat down, being a multi-tailed fox would take some getting used to.
'Well, Naruto. It would seem our fates are intertwined from here on. We're going to have some fun, you and I.' I mused before resting my head and closing my eyes.
This was the worst decision I'd ever made. How did I even talk myself into this? It has been YEARS, and there was nothing to bloody well do. Naruto was now a four-year-old. Interestingly, being inside Naruto as he develops has lent me some insight as to how a body with chakra works. It is naturally faster, stronger and more durable. The mind develops a lot faster with chakra, which explained a lot of things.
It was weird, and my chakra being fed into Naruto's system just amplified everything by one hundred.
But his development would be a lot better if he didn't eat so much damn RAMEN!
"Naruto! Put that down. Don't even think about it!" I growled, watching the oblivious kid prepare to dig into a bowl of ramen provided to him by the one and only Ramen King, Ichiraku.
"I swear, you little twit, you're harming your growth living on just noodles!" No matter what I said, it couldn't get through to him, the seal was too strong, I'd have to wait who knows how long before I could chip away just enough for some basic conversation.
My ability to see the world around me got better from inside my nice little prison.
I tried to focus on the outside world than the sewer environment I was stuck in. Seriously, it was all I could do not to drive myself insane. The first year was an interesting one, memories from the actual Kyuubi were still there, skills and experiences. I spent that time going through it all, fully coming to realise why the Kyuubi hate humanity. It was easy enough being told the explanation of why, but to live through it? To see it all? Was another thing entirely. It also explained why I had felt apathy towards the deaths of Konoha shinobi, the Kyuubi didn't care. I wasn't just the Kyuubi physically, but it seemed I had assimilated its very being into my own. It was the only theory I had. I began to develop a small amount of hatred for the world and the state it was in. Especially seeing how a lot of Konoha would treat Naruto. Watching the horrible treatment pissed me off. Pricks.
And I most certainly HATED Namikaze Minato. Not only did he tear me in half, but he subjected me to the longest period of boredom ever. Naruto's second and most of his third year was mostly uneventful.
Though Naruto was now trying to train and become a shinobi, to defend himself and receive acknowledgement from those around him.
But his job would be easier if he stopped eating ramen constantly for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
"Have you ever heard of a balanced diet, Naruto? I hear it is good for you." I grumbled. I sat back and watched him slurp down those noodles in no time at all, practically inhaling them. It was impressive really.
And after having his most delicious bowl of noodles, he went on his way with a thousand-watt smile.
He headed straight for a secluded training ground, to practice punches and kicks. While Naruto couldn't sense the ANBU hiding and guarding him and myself, I could. It wouldn't be long before he joined the academy. I would be trying my best to ensure that he wasn't a complete failure 'dead last'.
I watched as he gave it his all, not stopping, even when his body screamed for rest, he continued to train, to become stronger. It was inspiring. To see a mere four-year-old stopping at nothing to reach his goals. He put so many adults to shame.
I would be there to help him, to truly unleash his potential when the time came. But I couldn't do anything just yet. I had to sit back and just wait.
Finally, it came. The day had come, Naruto was entering the Academy. Yes! Perhaps I could try getting through to him now.
The blonde preparing lunch for his first day. Well, no time like the present to begin our relationship.
"OI! Naruto, can you hear me?"
Nothing, I don't even know why I bothered. He was just going about his business, finding food to grab. I narrowed my eyes as Naruto made his way to a very familiar cupboard.
"Naruto, you'd better not be grabbing anymore of that bloody ramen." I growled, releasing some killing intent.
Naruto froze just as he was about to open the cupboard. I leapt up, did he just hear me? Could I finally talk to someone?
Naruto checked his surroundings.
"Yes! Naruto, can you hear me? Nod if you can hear me."
...Nothing, no response.
Damn. Well progress was progress, I suppose. It must have been the killing intent. A strange ability to project malicious intentions through your chakra. The stronger the individual, the stronger the effect, which can paralyse an opponent in fear as you practically overwhelm their senses with your intent to murder, triggering the 'flight or fight' response.
Being a creature that has enough chakra to put nukes to shame, I can produce a pretty strong intent.
It would seem I'm getting through the seal enough to leak a small amount through.
"What was that?" Naruto mumbled to himself. Before continuing to grab those cursed noodles.
Carbs is certainly a fantastic flavour, but for every meal, I don't think so.
But I still couldn't do anything yet, I just had to sit back and watch.
The day had come to an end and we came across something, three boys picking on a small girl. Her eyes stuck out to me. Hyuga Hinata. How interesting.
'Go on Naruto, save her.'
"Hey! Stop that!" He yelled, storming up to the bullies.
They turned and faced him.
"My name is Uzumaki Naruto, I'm going to be the future Hokage!" He proclaimed.
He brought his fingers to create a clone. The bullies looked on in disbelief. But the result was a failure.
"Ha! Hokage my ass!" Mocked one of the bullies before punching Naruto in the face.
And they continued to punch and kick, over and over. With each punch, my rage built, with each kick, the true hatred of the Kyuubi manifested.
"LITTLE SHITS!" I roared.
I summoned forth a tidal wave of chakra and slammed it against the seal, forcing as much as the seal would allow into Naruto.
His eyes turned crimson. Quicker than anyone could see, Naruto unleashed huge punch, throwing the bully through the air. The bully slammed into a tree over twenty metres away, bark shattering under the force of impact.
Naruto turned towards the other two bullies. They screamed in fear and sprinted away, grabbing their friend.
"DEMON!" The yelled as they fled.
ANBU appeared out of nowhere, having sensed my malicious chakra.
One of them slapped a seal on him. And the influx of my chakra vanished from his system.
Naruto dropped to the ground in panting. The ANBU were silent and Hinata could only watch, stunned.
"Eagle, take the Hyuga home. Uzumaki Naruto, please come with me." One of the ANBU said.
Naruto complied, and we were suddenly being taken towards the Hokage's Tower.
Naruto didn't know what just came over him, one moment he was getting beaten up by bullies. The next, he felt strength suddenly enter his body, and he felt so damn angry.
It was… a great feeling, but scary. He felt like he could take on all the bullies.
And they called him demon… was he? Was he a demon? Was that why no one would play with him? Why they treated him like dirt?
"So, Naruto," Came the soft voice of the Hokage, Hiruzen, "You said you felt strength come out of nowhere? And it made you angry?"
He nodded, "Yeah, and then they called me a demon."
He looked towards the man he considered a grandfather, "Am I demon?"
Hiruzen's eyes softened, "No, Naruto. You are not a demon. If anyone calls you that, please tell me, okay? I'll take care of those people."
"Okay, Old Man," Naruto mumbled, "Why don't people like me?"
He watched as Hiruzen let out a heavy sigh. The old man got out of his chair and looked out over the village.
"You aren't old enough to know just yet, but I promise I'll tell you why one day. Just know this Naruto, they're fools. They're scared, stupid fools. There is no reason to hate you."
He deflated at that, he just wanted to know why. Why was he treated different? Why did everyone avoid him like the plague? Why wasn't he allowed to know?
He just wanted to be acknowledge by someone, anyone. Gazing at the old man's hat, he knew that the old man was looked up to and respected by everyone in the village. He was going to get that hat, and everyone would finally look at him with respect. They would acknowledge him.
"Alright, can you lift up your shirt please, Naruto? And close your eyes." Hiruzen asked.
He gave the old man a weird look. Why was he asking that?
But he did as he was told, lifting his shirt and closing his eyes.
He felt the old man poke his stomach with a finger. He noticed chakra enter his body. The old man muttered to himself and the chakra vanished.
"Thank you, Naruto. I do believe you will be okay. You can run along now."
He nodded and left.
Sarutobi Hiruzen wasn't the best at seals, but he knew that the seal was beginning to weaken. He'd felt the chakra, the malicious intent was unmistakable. The raw power of it could've only been one thing, the Kyuubi. Could it a sign of horrible things to come? He hoped not. The boy didn't deserve this. To bear the Kyuubi and its hatred, it was too much for a boy to handle. He'd need to keep an eye on Naruto, to ensure that he would be alright.
Well this was a rather eventful day, I got pissed and gave Naruto a power boost. And we had a special audience with the Hokage, who checked the seal to ensure that I wasn't a threat. And we put some kid in the hospital with broken bones aplenty.
Most exciting day in years.
Naruto had gone home. I sat down in my cosy cage, closing my eyes to rest when I sensed it. The unmistakable desire.
"DAMN IT, NARUTO! LAY OFF THE RAMEN!"
"Why must everything be orange? It is hideous." I grumbled. Was it a genuine love of the colour? A subconscious choice due to my presence and I was a giant orange fox? I don't know if I would ever discover the true answer. I knew to some extent there came a desire to be seen, but that couldn't just be the only reason. I refused to believe that it was, he always wore orange, no matter the amount of attention he received.
But Naruto was selecting orange clothes, he absolutely loved the colour. Everything had to have orange.
And my good self could only sit back and watch him grab those clothes, I had no input.
And we were off to the Academy.
Upon entering the classroom and taking a seat, I noticed that someone was watching the oblivious blonde. A girl with white eyes and lavender hair, Hinata. So, she wasn't scared by the display I put on back then aye?
Hinata was the only person who believed in Naruto all throughout his life. Now with a glimpse of his true potential, how would that shape her perception? Naruto never used my chakra to defend her in the beginning. That encounter certainly changed Naruto. During training, he would be more determined than ever, going even further that what he did before. Working so hard that ANBU had to carry his body home. Naruto knew that he had potential now and he was doing everything in his power to reach it.
I had given him more confidence than ever, nothing would stop him from becoming Hokage. I found myself rooting for the idiot.
Iruka announced that the class would be fighting today in one on one spars..
The class went outside.
Today, Naruto was going to fight Kiba Inuzuka. A kid rather skilled in hand to hand combat.
Kiba wore a dark grey jacket and pants. His appearance was wild, having messy brown hair and red markings on his cheeks.
"I'm going to kick your ass! Believe it!" Naruto announced.
Kiba scoffed, "Yeah, right. Akamaru and I won't lose to a dead last like you."
The cute little dog barked in agreement, smart bugger.
They stepped inside the circle and prepared to fight.
Iruka gave the signal and Kiba was on Naruto in an instant. A right hook to the gut, knocking the wind right out of Naruto. Akamaru followed up with a bash to the head, Naruto stumbled backwards and nearly stepped out of the circle.
'How embarrassing', it hurt seeing a kid that worked so hard be nearly KO'd in an instant. Naruto charged back into the fight, throwing punches and kicks. Kiba barely got hit, managing to block or counter many of them. Those that he didn't manage to stop, Akamaru covered, helping to counterattack. It was poorly one-sided.
Some kids were laughing at the poor blonde as he accumulated more and more bruises, refusing to stay down. Only Hinata watched with concern and silently cheered Naruto on.
Kiba smirked when he kicked Naruto in the face, sending him crashing into the dirt.
Shaking arms struggled to hold his weight, but through sheer willpower, Naruto managed to push himself up.
He glared at Kiba, "I'm going to become Hokage one day, I will not lose!"
Some students began to laugh, "Him? Hokage?"
"He's dreaming."
"He'll never be Hokage."
My eyes softened, Naruto wore a mask of confidence, but on the inside, he was hurting. I could see how he felt, the demoralizing effect those kids had on him. He just wanted to be accepted, to do his best to become a respected individual.
"If only I was stronger… like before," Naruto whispered lowly to himself, but his words were clear as day for me. I'd try my best to help him.
I summoned forth my chakra, a raging ocean of power. I unleashed as much as I could through the seal. Which wasn't much. Along with it came the aggression that I felt towards the villagers.
Though Naruto's face changed, it went to one of shock. He looked down at his body, his jaw wide in astonishment. He could feel my power flowing through him, not much but just enough made it past the seal to make a difference.
"Kick his ass, Naruto. Show them all what you're capable of," I grinned.
Naruto smirked a feral grin as Kiba froze up. Naruto charged forward. Closing the gap in half a second, Kiba had no time to react. Naruto hit his opponent with a fast punch to the chest. Kiba flew out of the circle and slammed into the side of the academy building. Iruka rushed to Kiba's side, as did Akamaru. The dog poking its owner, trying to get him up. Iruka checked on him.
"He's okay, but unconscious. Naruto is the winner," Iruka announced.
Dead silence. Everyone stared in disbelief. Except for Hinata, who smiled to herself.
"YES! I DID IT!" Naruto shouted, fist pumping the air.
Iruka seemed a little... disturbed. And the class couldn't say anything, they continued to stare at Naruto as other students carried out their fights.
I felt how incredibly happy the little blonde was, he didn't know how he got the power to win, but he was still so grateful to have finally won a spar.
"Glad to be of service, Naruto."
Most kids soon focused on Uchiha Sasuke as he beat another student with no difficulty. The girls swooned over him. That miffed Naruto a little, his achievement being pushed aside in favour of Sasuke and his talent. But he was still very happy with himself.
And so was Hinata, I could see her watching the blonde, smiling with awe filled eyes. How innocent and cute, she truly admired Naruto.
I smirked and rested my eyes; my work was done for today.
A few years had passed, the high Naruto had felt from his match against Kiba had a profound effect on him. The kid had taken to staying out later at night to train his butt off. I didn't approve of that, it wasn't good for his health. But the little bugger didn't know when to quit, trying his best to re-capture that strength and power he'd felt. I did my best to give small boosts here and there, in hopes of weakening the seal quicker and giving the kid what he wanted.
Making his way home rather late, he found himself outside the Uchiha compound. He stopped, eyes narrowing on the door to the clan's compound, he thought he heard a scream beyond it, only barely.
I sat up in realization, could this be the night that Itachi kills his clan?
'Oh shit.'
"Naruto, don't enter the compound! It isn't safe!" Fucking Tobi was in there!
The curious blonde couldn't hear me, bloody hell. He walked forward, sensing something wasn't quite right and went to investigate.
He entered the compound, "Hello?"
"Naruto! Please, stop now and turn back! You can't be here, it is not safe for you!" I frantically shouted.
He proceeded deeper, seeing nothing.
The shit of a seal was going to be the end of us both.
"NARUTO! LEAVE RIGHT NOW!" I roared.
Nothing.
Helpless, I watched the innocent little blonde turn a corner and freeze. The street was filled with dozens of bodies, blood pouring into the soil. Naruto began shaking in horror.
"W-Wha-What?!" He stuttered, unable to comprehend what he was seeing. He was just a boy.
I knew the next thought that ran through his mind, Sasuke.
He sprinted forward, stumbling as he went. Tears filling his eyes as he witnessed more and more dead bodies.
I couldn't damn well stop him from going in deeper.
"SASUKE!" He yelled.
I cringed, he shouldn't yell, Tobi could hear us. We were in so much danger right now.
"SASUK-" He stopped as he came across the Konaha Police Force Headquarters.
In front of him, a young girl wrapped in chains. She was crying, and a masked man stood behind here, ready to end her life.
"Oh shit." I muttered.
Tobi looked our way.
"DON'T LOOK INTO HIS EYES!" I screamed. Somehow, I managed to impress my message upon Naruto and he avoided looking at the eye holes in the mask.
"Well… I wasn't expecting the Jinchuriki to show up." The voice froze me in my tracks, that deep, powerful voice. It was only a few hours back then, but this man had managed to overwhelm and control my very mind. I HATED HIM… and I feared him, the Kyuubi's original feelings amplifying my own. I had the luxury of becoming the Kyuubi, and with it, the complete fear of Tobi and Madara. They wanted to enslave me, use me for their bidding. I had only a small taste of what that was like and I never wanted to go through it again!
"W-Who are y-you?" Naruto stuttered.
Tobi chuckled, "No one of concern, but how fortunate we should encounter each other once again, Jinchuriki. You've made my job very easy."
Naruto looked confused and shook with fear, "Wh-What?"
"You're coming with me, KYUUBI!"
'FUCK!'
I summoned every ounce of my chakra during the split-second Tobi vanished and appeared right in front of Naruto. Time slowed as Tobi made to grab him, just one touch and it was all over.
"I WILL NOT BE YOURS!" I roared.
I shoved my chakra, my rage and desperation at Naruto. Facing death in the face, Naruto subconsciously accepted more of my chakra than ever before.
Tobi was an inch away from touching us, when he was blown back by an explosion of chakra.
Naruto screamed as a red chakra spread across his form. His eyes turned crimson red. No tails formed, but with that chakra, Naruto dashed forward and grabbed the girl in chains. He was smart enough to turn around and escape, taking off back to entrance of the compound.
My chakra, my malicious, hate filled chakra that was focused solely on one man could be felt across Konoha. My only hope was that all ANBU and shinobi would be rushing to our location at top speed.
"You cannot escape, Kyuubi." Both Naruto and myself gazed in horror as Tobi appeared in front of us.
Naruto couldn't stop in time and was about to run straight into Tobi's grasp. It couldn't end like this, it just couldn't.
A centimetre from contact, a kunai connected with Tobi's head, only to pass right through and we ran straight through him because of it. Multiple ANBU landed in the area, one of them I recognized had silver hair. Thank the heavens, Kakashi was here!
They didn't waste time with talk and rushed forward to attack, they moved so quickly. Tobi retreated. The spaced around his eye warping, his body entering the epicentre of the warped space.
"This isn't over." With those final words, he vanished.
I withdrew my chakra and collapsed to the ground. That was way too fucking close! I had to take massive breaths to calm myself.
I closed my eyes, I needed a damn rest!
Naruto had the same idea, he promptly crashed with exhaustion into the arms of an ANBU and passed out. Didn't blame him.
We were in a hospital; medical shinobi were rushing back and forth, making sure that Naruto was okay. At least four ANBU were present inside or outside the room at any given time, watching over Naruto. I heard from different ANBU talking to each other that the security around the village had been tightened, everyone was on high alert. It made sense to me, not only had the Uchiha clan been massacred, but the village's ultimate weapon had almost been taken.
Naruto came to, and the Hokage was there to greet him.
"How are you, Naruto?" Hiruzen asked.
I don't know about Naruto, but I was not okay. My life had nearly come to an abrupt end as Tobi nearly succeeded in capturing me. Capturing of the Bijuu certainly wasn't ready to happen. But removing Naruto from play early? Stopping him from getting stronger and keeping the Kyuubi until you are ready for the sealing? It was obvious what you'd do.
"I… I don't know." Naruto confessed.
The kid had just witnessed the deaths of the Uchiha clan and nearly got captured by a masked murderer. It was a lot to process for someone so young.
"What happened?" Naruto glanced at the Hiruzen, searching for answers.
The Hokage's eyes turned cold, very cold.
"I don't know, Uchiha Itachi, brother to your classmate Sasuke, for whatever reason killed his clan," Bullshit, I knew why. I'm sure Hiruzen was now aware of what Danzo had done. "But, he had help from an unknown enemy it seems."
Wait… Holy crap, I didn't even realise. Tobi had been caught in the act of helping massacre the Uchiha and trying to capture Naruto. The ramifications of this were enormous! This could change the perception of everything, and for the higher ups, they might even have a shit storm on their hands as they have to consider that the Uchiha Massacre was a complete misunderstanding on both parties.
I don't know exactly what will come of this, a lot had just changed.
"Is Sasuke..." Naruto trailed off.
Hiruzen smiled softly, "Sasuke has survived the attack. And thanks to you, there is another survivor, Uchiha Izumi."
Another survivor? Oh, that's right, the girl that was wrapped up in chains, Tobi was about to murder her. Why did her name sound familiar? Izumi… Nothing, I'm drawing a blank. But another person had come out of the clan massacre okay, and a female at that. Another thing to add the list of events that had changed.
After the Hokage had left, the ANBU moved to guard the room from the outside.
"Well, Naruto. It would seem we've changed history." I said.
The blonde looked around like crazy, "Who said that?"
'No way.'
Could he hear me now? Had the seal weakened to the point where I could communicate with him?
"Naruto, can you hear me? Nod your head if yes."
The blonde slowly began to nod.
Fuck. Yes.
