Epilogue

Do not underestimate a man with nothing left to lose… but everything to gain. Because, these are the most fearsome type of people. People who would do anything, just to make their dreams come true. Even if the world comes after them… Even if they have to suffer excruciating amounts of pain… They will still stand up and fight. For to them, nothing matters anymore.

Tsunayoshi used to be an ordinary boy. Well, maybe he was a bit weaker than everyone else. Maybe he wasn't as smart as everyone else. However, even so, he was still the most adorable child you would ever have the chance to meet. He was kind to everyone, even the smallest of insects. He was also forgiving. He would forgive you no matter what you did to him. Beat him… Stab him… Starve him… He would forgive you in spite of that. He was also courageous when other were being hurt. No matter who was being hurt, he would stand up for them even at the cost of his self. An empathetic person who truly understood what people felt… Tsuna was indeed an angelic being. Sweet and loving to everyone yet firm when the time called for it.

However, it was not to be. Humans are envious beings. Those whom we find 'better' than us, we either despise them or worship them. Tsuna with his numerous weaknesses fell into the first category. People didn't understand why they disliked him, they just knew that they did. And so, Tsuna kindness became buried under his weaknesses. It was truly sad that nobody bothered to see through the darkness enshrouding Tsuna to see the pure soul inside. No one… Not even his mother.

At the beginning Tsuna didn't mind. He thought that one day, someone would care. Yet no matter how long he waited, there was simply no one. Tsuna could only hope for someone to be there for him… with him. His hope remained unfulfilled... Soon Tsuna's hope dwindled away, turning into despair and then bitterness. Why was he so alone? Why was it always him? Tsuna screamed at the heavens in anguish and rage… but no one ever responded. Tsuna could only endure.… Endure in silence for no one would ever be there for him.

Everyday he endured, his smile slipped a bit. Soon, his once beautific smile became mirthless and brittle. Eyes that once shone with childish innocence darkened and became empty. Tsuna was no longer lively, just a cold husk of his once bright self. You would think that someone would notice, right? No… Why would they? Tsuna to them was nothing. Merely a doll for them to release their frustrations upon. A marionette dancing to their tune. They had broken him. And so the world had taken this angel and stripped him of his wings and halo.
