MAX'S POV
Why does this always happen. Me and My family have always been hunted since we were born. We have had many "fun" adventures, such as Angel getting kidnapped, and My miniflock getting locked in a dungeon by my "mom".
Me and my amazing band of young avian americans were running through the forest from god know what. Yeah, I had no idea what we were running from and I don't want to know. All I saw from the quick glances back I made were that they were fast and massive, so fighting was out of the question.
"Max, Clearing 300 feet forward to the right." said Fang from my side, snapping me out of my train of thought.
"Angel," I said turning to my other side. "Tell everyone else."
"Got it Max," she answered sweetly. Even though we were running for our lives, she stilled managed to be, well, angelic.
I saw her concentrate for a second and then UI saw the others nod in understanding. After about 300bfeet, we all turned right. We ran for about 10 seconds before we ran into the clearing. there was green grass everywhere with no dirt patches and some bushes growing in just the right place to make any normal child feel like they were at home.
"U and A guys," I announced to my flock. And in about three seconds we were twenty feet in the air.
"Can I do it now Max, Please?" Angel asked me. I know I shouldn't have looked at her, but when I did, I was confronted with the biggest Bambi eyes ever.
"Fine," I said after I gave in. " But try not to destroy the forest."
"O.K.," she said happily and looked down. I looked at the huge creatures that just reached the clearing and watched them instantly catch on fire.
I may have forgotten to mention this, but all of us have gotten some new and cool powers. Angel is the luckiest one of us all. She just recently got the power to control the elements earth, wind, water, and fire, and she weilds this power with pride. Gazzy can blow up anything he wants with his mind. I can't keep track of how many times I have had to talk to him about this power. Iggy can now see, and he can even see invissible waves, like radio and ultraviolet rays. Nudge has developed her Magnetic power to such an extreme that she can control telepathically control any metal she wants. Fang can now teleport, which can get really annoying sometimes. I have the ability to change how I look (Like angels power but much more developed.) and I can cook. I know what most people are thinking right now. They are probably thinking, what a minute cooking isn't a power. Well to me, the fact that I can cook is pretty god damn impressive.
"Where to now Max," Fang assked as he flew to be next to me.
"If only I knew," was my reply.
Colorado Max,
"The voice just said we have to go to Colorado," I told Fang. He nodded and I started flying to Colorado with the flock close behind.
