Day 3 - Don't Go"Don't go,
I can say that I don't miss you,
But my heart knows that you're the one for me.
I never thought you would follow through,
I never thought I would say this to you;
'Come home, 'cause I miss you.'"

The rain poured down, like God was trying to water every plant in London. She sat on her steps, her hair sticking to her forehead. Headlights would break the darkness and her heart would jump. Maybe he had decided to come back for her. She sat up straight, but the cars just flew past and she would slump down again.

She was cold, soaked to the bone, her hair was dripping, and she couldn't stand. If she put any weight on her legs, she was afraid she'd shatter into a pile of dust. Then he'd never find her. Would he ever come back?

She always thought he was just giving loose threats. She had never thought he would abandon her. She drew her legs up in under her and she layed on her side. She let the water be her blanket. She was so cold her body wouldn't even shiver. What's the use? She wanted to freeze. She didn't want this life she had.

A car pulled into her drive and she sat up.

"Ron?" she excaimed. She knew it! She knew she shouldn't have given up hope! She knew he would come back. He was going to wrap his arms around her and kiss her hair and whisper "I love you" in her ear over and over. She was going to be happy. She stood, as the man got out of his car.

"Hermione Granger-Weasley?" A deep voice asked. She didn't recognize it. She nodded.

"Yeah?" She asked. She felt herself shake. She wasn't cold. She was scared. Who was this? What did he want? Why was he here?

"You've been served," He handed her an envelope, "Have a nice night."

She shook her head, "No," she started to sob, "No, no, no." She opened the envelope. Divorce papers.

Her body started to shatter. Starting from her hands, to her septum, to her legs and head and everything just exploded until there was nothing left. She had nothing left. She fell to the ground and sobbed. The tears and the rain and the wind and her howls blended together in a blender of misery and pain. She felt like a helpless old fool who had fallen and couldn't get up. She felt helpless.

"Hermione?" A voice cut through the wind, rain, and her cries.

She wiped her face and squinted through the rain at the figure.

"Ha- Harry?"

Harry knelt down, his hair flattening because of the rain. He took her hand.

"Sweetie, uh ..." he started, taking a breath, "Ron found someone else. He's been cheating on you for some time. He told me not to tell you, but you're my main girl, and I love you. You deserved to know. So he's going to live with his mistress. I'm so, so sorry."

Hermione felt emptier than she had ever felt. She felt hollow. She just nodded. She didn't understand why. She didn't understand how. But she understood. Her husband didn't love her anymore. Did he lover her initially? Had he ever loved her? Why did he marry her? Convience? She was there and easy to get so he married her?

She nodded again, "I know," she didn't know what she knew. She knew something. "I know." She repeated.

She stood and walked inside her house, leaving Harry in the rain. She needed to be alone. She stood at her counter, opened a bottle of whiskey and poured it in a glass. She drank it down.

Staring at the rain hitting her window, she let her tears follow the trails in her reflection. She looked down and whispered to herself,

"Don't go."

I'm gonna take right now to say that I don't own the characters or the lyrics mentioned in any of these stories.
