Hed bought the rings off of some black market salesman down on new caprica. He had asked for wedding rings and the man had given him two options. One was a pretty and small like Dee. The other wasnt. It was hers. Its the same ring Zack gave her.
He sits alone with one in each hand, a different woman coming to mind when he glances at each ring. He doesnt know why he bought the secound but he cant seem to part with it or what it means. Shes left the past behind. Shes with sam now. As much as he hates her, he cant bring himself to give the ring to Dee. Its Karas. And it always will be. He puts the second ring in his pocket and holds the first up to the light. Hopefully, its not a fake.

He gets back late due to his bad encounter with Starbuck and is about to apologize when he notices what shes wearing. She has on a set of red matching lingerie and he cant help but wonder where the hell she got it. Doesnt matter. Hes too tired. But he cant tell her that. Shes his wife and she deserves better.
"Hey, honey" she sayswalking up to him slowly until shes standing right in front of him. And just like that FLASH.
"Lee" she breaths his name like a prayer.
He hugs her closer to him and kisses the top of her head. "Im so sorry Kara."
FLASH. "Dee!" he exclaims, stumbling backwards in shock.
"Suprised?" she asks with a sly smile thinking his reaction is directed towards her.
"What-" he begins but before he can stop it FLASH.
"Dont ever leave me again, Lee. Promise me" she pleads.
"I promise" he says, wiping a tear from his eye. "I love you, Kara."
FLASH. Oh, gods. Its gonna be a long night.

Hes in the head brushing his teeth when she comes in. He looks around. As usual, nobody else can see her. She walks right up to him, whispers in his ear. "So much for forever, huh baby?" She nibbles lightly on his ear and he briefly closes his eyes, says nothing. When he opens his eyes he sees her in the mirror at the other side of the room. When he turns around shes not there.

After she dies, he dies inside. He sees her every time he thinks of her. Shes there, tearing his heart out in the middle of the day while no one else is looking. He knows she died not loving him. She died because he gave up on them. And it breaks him. It breaks him the same way he broke her. All is fair.
