Right there, standing in front of the barn, was Celia and Marlin…KISSING! Marlin had his arms wrapped around her waist. And Celia with her arms around his neck.
"Celia!" Bridget screamed.
"Marlin!" Rock cried. "What are you doing!" Marlin and Celia looked over, both of them blushing. Marlin and Celia both let go of each other. Celia wanted to say something but she quickly ran out crying. Marlin tried to go after her, but Rock stopped him.
"Awww, you and Celia hey" Rock said punching him in the arm. "I never knew you had it for her"
"I didn't either" Marlin explained. "I was just walking back home and I heard some one call my name. I turned around and saw Celia. She ran up to me and kissed me. I sort of just got caught up in the moment" Rock and Bridget both looked at each other.
"Did she say anything?" Bridget asked putting her hands on her hips.
"She told me that when she saw Rock and Muffy together, she felt inside that it was the time to tell me. I had no idea she liked me at all" He said looking at his feet.
"Do you like her?" Rock asked.
"…I don't know"
Marlin and I worked in the felids and a in the barn the next day. Marlin milked Bessie and I worked in the felids, planting little seeds for crops.
Bridget could tell that Marlin had something on his mind. And she knew exactly what it was, the kiss. He had been very quiet. More quiet than usual. But he didn't want to talk about it so I decided not to bring it up.
Bridget got into her planting until she realized she forgot to order some potatoe crops.
"Marlin, I need to go to the town and get some potatoes seeds. I'll be right back okay"
"Okay" He said very quietly. I shook my head and ran into town. I saw Muffy walking to the bar. I waved and she came running up to me.
"Oh my god, I heard what happened. Rock told me. Wow hey, I can't…wow" She said stunned. I couldn't believe that I was the only one here that knew Celia liked him forever. I had just moved here and I already knew the "town talk".
"Yeah, Marlin isn't talking since it happened. I'm kind of worried" Bridget replied. The talked for a bit and she was off again. She had invited her over for coffee but I didn't have time. I said I would tell her another time of all the details.
I got to Vesta's farm and I saw Celia sitting by the windmill eating lunch. I walked over and sat with her. She got right to the point.
"Did I move to fast?" she asked staring at her tomato sandwich.
"I don't know. I haven't known you two for that long. I don't know your history. But I think Marlin felt good about it. He has been quiet but I'm sure it's a good thing. She smiled and gave me a hug. I remembered what I came for. I had already taken a half 'n' hour and I told Marlin I would be back quickly. Celia hurried and got me what I needed. I got home and continued working on the fields. Marlin came and sat next to me and offered to help. I accepted his offer.
"Oh my is it hot!" Marlin said. With that his shirt was off. I could see his muscles flex. Bridget gulped. "Oh my is right"
