Susan Storm sat out on the roof top in her bathrobe and sighed. The place hadn't quite been cleaned up yet since the wedding fiasco and flower petals and a few ribbons littered the roof top.

It was odd it was Reed the first four times that had postponed their wedding and now it was her. She never thought that it would ever be herself postponing her wedding, but it was. She wasn't sure why...She loved him but they had seemed to have grown apart.

Norrin Radd was the only person she could think about of late; he was so mysterious, so quiet.

She had cried when she had found out about his sacrifice, she cried a lot. Johnny had done his best to comfort her, everyone had but she just didn't feel right.

"Why...why did he have to die?!" She found herself thinking in anger. "Why him!?" she found herself wanting to curse at the heavens, cry, scream, shout anything to clear herself of these emotions but she could not even muster a whisper. Sighing she plucked a small wilted rose petal from the concrete and held it gently between her thumb and forefinger; a sudden gust of wind rushed past her and caused the petal to slip from her grip and float away into the night. Taking no heed of the sudden wind burst she pulled her legs up to her chest and rested her chin atop her knees. A few minutes had passed by when Susan noticed that someone or something was watching her. Lifting her head up quickly and alert she immediately froze; there he was standing where the alter used to be in silence.

"...Norrin...?" she finally managed to whisper.

He simply nodded.

"H-h-how...?" she barely managed to stand up let alone talk at the same time.

"I do not know." he replied slowly.

There was a short pause between the two. Then suddenly Susan Storm found herself running towards him, stumbling up the small flight of stairs and stood before him, his board only centimeters away from her shins.

Slowly his board lowered so it was nearly on the ground and he slowly walked to the edge of it. Even without his board he stood tall over her and she couldn't help but tremble lightly. Carefully she stood up on her tip toes and then slowly wrapped her arms around him, embracing him. At first he didn't respond and her heart sank but then she felt his arms wrap around her waist.

"I missed you..." she whispered as she rested her head on his metallic chest.

"And I you..." he replied softly.
