Title: A Moment of Peace
Rating: K+
Genre: Romance
Pairing: Aqua/Terra
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Summary: After fighting 'Terranort' Aqua shares one last moment with Terra, while his memories are not yet locked away. I haven't gotten this far so leave me alone.
Terra's body fell to the ground heavily after she landed her last slew of attacks on his out of control body. The flowers seemed to cushion his fall as the now silver-haired youth fell on the flower bed in Radiant Garden. Aqua tried to catch her breath as she slowly approached the taller figure.
When she got there she felt a glimmer of hope as she saw the now weakly opened eyes fade into the oceanic blue orbs she knew by heart. Slowly the blue haired woman walked up beside his head and pulled him up by the shoulders, sliding her legs under his head, one hand resting on a now tan cheek.
'Terra…'was all that Aqua could say as she ran her hand through the pale tresses that had replaced the man's earthen hair. Terra looked up at her with unfocused eyes, his breathing somewhat harsh as he tried to speak.
'I…only have a short time…fighting him off isn't easy. I'm….sorry that this happened Aqua—'Terra was cut off by a pair of pale lips covering his, his eyes were wide in shock at the sudden movement. Aqua stayed that way for a moment before pulling away, a look of "Don't talk" written clearly on her face.
'I don't blame you, and neither does Ven. I know you'll find your way back to us.' Aqua said with a smile as she picked up Terra's wayfinder and put the orange-ish star around his neck, then holding it over his heart.
'Even if you do forget everything Terra, you'll instinctively want to find us,' she said, 'because the three of us made a promise. We promised we'd stay connected, and we will.' Aqua smiled sadly as her childhood friend slowly lost consciousness. As much as she wanted to take him with her, she couldn't risk Master Xehanort using him to get to Ven.
Before leaving, Aqua placed one last kiss on the unconscious man's lips before she walked away a little ways. Aqua turned to look at him one more time, tears starting to form in her eyes.
'I'll find Ven, and then you'll find us,' she started before taking a deep breath, 'You have to come back Terra. When you do, I can tell you something important. Something that Ven wants to tell you too.'
After that the blue-mage was gone. Before Xemnas even realized he had witnessed a memory, a strange thing occurred, a lone tear rolled down his dark skin as he opened his eyes. This memory caused a strange change in the Nobody.
Perhaps his defeat at the hands of Sora and Riku simply opened the correct path he ought to take…to finding that which he lost.
