Will woke up, no nightmares, no sweating, anything. It was the first time in a while, he was covered in dogs; they had a tendency to crawl into his bed as he was sleeping. It was nice, something he had missed while in the care of Dr. Lecter.

a soft moan came from beside him and he moved towards her, sniffing her hair as she sighed, pressing her lips to his cheek. He had stubble that Alana personally found alluring. "Good morning, sleepyhead." Will said; his voice still rasps from awakening. Alana dipped herself back under the covers of her bed and moaned; her hair messy from the night before.

Will entered his kitchen; the light shone into the area and warmed the house. He started the coffee and fed his dogs. He looked out the window onto the field, it was golden and windy, it looked quiet and peaceful. Not much really goes on in the world today, at least not in Will's perspective. He did wish that he could still be helping people but he liked it here, it was perfect for him at the moment. Somewhere he might consider starting a family.

He grabbed his cup of coffee and Alana's, heading into the bedroom. She wasn't exactly the morning person, conversation as a whole was often avoided until she had her coffee.

Will set his cup on the table and rubbed his hand on Alana's back, cooing in her ear. She moved out of the covers just to place her forehead onto his and hum, "Good morning." She responded. Will moved out of the position to easily hand her coffee to her and her fingers slipped onto it, sipping it slowly. This had always been both of their favourite times of days, just to watch each other; not to be covered in stress and expectations but just to truly be with one another. It made Will no longer feel what he felt almost all the time, Alana made him a better person in ways that he had never expected and it made Alana feel happy that she was able to have such an effect on such a wonderful man. That's what Will saw while looking into her eyes, and that was enough.

"Thank you." Will said, breaking the silence. Alana looked at him, studied his face. "What do you mean?" she smiled placing her coffee between her lap. Will snickered, "for not giving up on me, I suppose." he replied moving the cup back to his lips. They sat in silence, it wasn't awkward or strange. It's what normally occurred, on the odd occasion they also had time to just think and speak their mind. "You know, I've always had hope for you." Alana responded looking at her beverage. Will laughed "For a moment there I thought you were going to say you've always had a professional curiosity for me." he teased. Alana chuckled and kicked his ankle softly.
