This is a White Day oneshot gift to BlackStar42Roses for updating Thieves and Beggers. This oneshot isn't as good as I had hoped it would be, but the feelings are there. The characters may be a bit OCC (is it OCC or OOC). This is the shortest I've ever written. Anyways, nothing's going to be updated yet. Sorry to my readers! (Begs for forgiveness) See you next time.

What in the world is going in that herbivore's head? He didn't need to be protected, yet that idiot swordsman jumped in. Took a bullet for him. Their mission was to go in and destroy the lab. How did the mission go wrong, Kyouya didn't have an answer.

Roll multilpled, protecting the two Guardians while Kyouya called Kusakabe to call the Vongola's medics.

It was a gunshot to the left side of his chest. Hit the lungs. By the time the medics had arrived and the lab destoryed, Takeshi was already gone. Died from drowning in his own blood. Kyouya had tried to stop the bleeding, but…

Takeshi had confessed to Kyouya one rainy night after a dinner meeting outside a restaurant. The name of the restaurant Kyouya no longer remembered.

Everyone's reactions ranged from sadness to disbelief. Superbi Squalo raged at the fact that Takeshi had died. Tsuna, Hayato, and Ryohei were silent. Lambo, being a kid, broke down and cried. Chrome grieved for him. Rokudo Mukuro didn't care.

"Hibari-san! Wait! I have something important to tell you!"

"If it was important, why didn't you speak about it at the meeting?"

"Ahaha. Because it didn't have anything to do with the meeting."

"Then I have no interest in listening to herbivores who don't know their place."

"But Hibari-san! It's really important!"

Tsuna, with the help of Hayato, arranged Takeshi's funeral. The sun was bright, but the mood reeked of sadness, grief, and sorrow. Tsuyoshi, Takeshi's dad, was told that he died in an accident. Tsuyoshi knew that it was something more, but he didn't ask any questions.

Kyouya didn't show up for the funeral, only appearing when almost everyone left. Tsuna had wanted to stay longer, but Reborn forced him to leave. Tsuyoshi was still there.

"Hibari-san. I love you." For once in his life, Kyouya was rendered speechless.

Tsuyoshi noticed Kyouya walked over with a white carnation. He watched his son's secret crush put the flower on his grave.

"You must be Hibari Kyouya." It wasn't a question.

"I don't know how much my son loved you, but he was more concerned about hiding his feelings from you than them being requited. That's why I'm sure he's really happy that you showed up today."

"It doesn't matter whether you return my feelings or not. I just love you. That choice is mine and mine alone. You know, Hibari-san, I feel really glad that I was able to tell you."

"He said that it was like a weight was off his shoulders. He no longer had to tip toe around."

Without another word, Takeshi went back into the restaurant with a silly but self-satisfied smile on his face, leaving Kyouya out in the rain.

"I don't know why my son loved you, but all I can say is thank you for coming here." At that, Tsuyoshi left. Kyouya had never said a word or moved an inch.

Kyouya had planned on replying another day. Perhaps when the sun was out.

But when the sun came out, Takeshi wasn't there anymore.
