I will now reveal the secret origin of Iscariot's #2 assassin, the gentle novice nun Yumiko and her insane psycho crazy nutcase alter ego Yumie.
When Takagi Yumiko was a little girl growing up in Japan, she was often targeted by bullies due to her small size and timid nature. Her grandfather, a kendo instructor, taught "Yumie", as he often called Yumiko, all he knew so she could defend herself. But her mother, half-American and all Catholic, forbade Yumiko from using violence under any circumstances.
Yumiko faithfully obeyed her mother, until the day her most vicious tormentor pushed Yumiko in a mud puddle. That day, Yumie awoke for the first time. Taking off her glasses, Yumie called the bully all sorts of dirty names and challenged her to a fight after school. That afternoon Yumie had the bully bawling and begging for mercy in less than ten minutes.
During her teenage years, Ms. Takagi had two vastly different reputations. One was for Takagi Yumiko, one of the top students at a prestigious Catholic private school for girls. The other was for "Bloody Blade" Yumie, one of Tokyo's most feared street fighters. However, this dual lifestyle couldn't last, and it didn't.
When Yumiko graduated, everything went fine until she got in an explosive argument with Yumie that goes as follows-
Yumie: A NUN? Are you X#!ing kidding me? Waiting my turn while you sat through those boring classes was bad enough! I won't be able to have ANY fun if you do this!
Yumiko: You've had enough of your so-called "fun", Yumie! I'm through with you! When I become a nun you're going to sleep PERMANTELY!
Yumie: Why you ungrateful lit-
Yumiko: Ungrateful?
Yumie: Yeah you heard me, ungrateful! Who got those little snot-nosed punks off your back? ME! Who handled those college guys who wanted to "play" with us? ME! Who made sure no one gave you trouble in gym class or the locker room? ME! If I weren't around, you'd be nothing but a goody-two-shoes doormat!
Yumiko: Oh really? Well who got me grounded for a month for fighting? YOU! Who nearly got me arrested more time than I can count? YOU! Who took so many hits one night that I flunked a test and had to retake it? YOU! You're but trouble and I won't have any more of it!
Yumie: All right! That's it! You and me. Outside. NOW!
Yumiko:... We're in the same body you idiot.
Maxwell: ahem Excuse me "ladies", but perhaps I can offer you two a "compromise" of sorts.
And the rest is history.
