Ok, so this was actually my first fanfic I ever wrote. I had originally posted it on my wattpad account: book_worm140, but I decided that maybe I should post here too. So I hope you like it!

It was as regular day at the fairy tail guild, well as normal as fairy tail could get. Natsu and gray were having their daily brawl while Erza surprising just sat at the bar eating her cake and Lucy was still at home.

"Have you ever wondered why lucy never mailed those letters?" Asked the blue hair feline.

This question stopped all movement from team natsu,

"Maybe she has issues with her mom too," gray suggested joining Erza at the bar.

"That could be it, but why would she go through the trouble of writing letters?" Erza said putting down her fork to face her teammates,

"I don't know," Natsu mumbled, silence encased all four of the mages as they fell into deep thought.

As the minutes ticked by the guild began to notice the very rare silence of their strongest team,

"What's wrong with them, they're never that quiet," one member whispered,

"I know and I didn't even Natsu could think, let alone be quiet," another said.

Gajeel who was sitting at a table in the back had just about enough of this oddity.

"The hells wrong with you guys. What could you people be thinkin' about so hard!?" Gajeel roared gaining their attention,

"Oh, well you see a long time ago we discovered a big drawer in Lucy's house full with letters to her mom that she never mailed and we don't know why," happy answered.

"If you guys are so curious just ask Lu-chan about it," levy suggested,

"That's a good idea Levy! We'll ask her as soon as he gets here!" Natsu exclaimed,

"Ask me what?" questioned a figure standing at the doors.

All heads in the guild turned to look at the figure who turned out to be the one and only Lucy heartfillia,

"We, uh, we're just wonder why you have so many unmailed letters to your mom," gray piped up.

Lucy eyes widened slightly at the question,

"How do you know about my letters," lucy growled,

"Hahaha, funny story really we were in your house and happy stumbled upon them," natsu laughed nervously.

"So you gonna answer the question bunny?" gajeel asked crossing his arms over his chest,

"Fine, ill tell you," lucy said quietly sitting down beside Erza, sadness and pain darkened her eyes.

"8 years ago on July 7 year x777 she died, can't really send mail to the dead now can you," she finished bangs covering her eyes.

"Lucy I'm so sorry, I-I never knew," Erza said,

"It's fine Erza,"

"Don't you think it's weird how the dragons disappear and Lucy's mom dies on the same day?" Wendy pointed out, causing all attention to turn to her.

"Yeah it's pretty coincidental, how did your mom die anyway Luce?" Natsu asked lucy,

"She just collapsed and died hours later, for no reason," Lucy explained tears threatening to spill.

Natsu stood up stood up, pulling Lucy into a warm comforting embrace, nuzzling his nose into her hair,

"It's ok Luce, it's ok" he comforted, stroking her hair lovingly.

"Natsu,"

"Ya Luce,"

"Can I go home?"

"Uhh huh, let's go," natsu said pulling lucy out of the guild,

"SEE YA LATER MINNA!" Natsu shouted back before disappearing into the horizing.

Everyone watched as the couple walked away,

"There is clearly more to Lucy's mother than anybody including Lucy expected, I wonder what this woman might be hiding?" Erza concluded,

"Yea..."
