David Rossi sat next to Erin Strauss's grave. He still missed her even though it had only been a couple of months since her untimely death in New York by a madman who had been after the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). She had been the unofficial eighth member of their team.

In those couple of months since her death, Rossi hadn't found himself stuck inside a bottle of alcohol like he figured he would be. Maybe it wasn't so unpredictable after all. He knew that it was indeed an achievement for him that he hadn't crawled inside one.

Rossi also knew that the members of the BAU helped him with his grief as well. They weren't forcing him to talk about anything he didn't want to talk about. They were just silently giving him their support, and now more than ever that's exactly what he needs most. Though he knew when he was ready to talk about his anything at all, they would be all there to listen right down to the newest member of their team, Alex Blake.

Rossi knew that they knew he was past the worst of his grief after they had caught John Curtis who they had dubbed as The Replicator, but it was the thought that counted.
