I groggily opened my eyes as the alarm on the clock blared. I groaned and shut my eyes tight, "Tee, can you shut that off?" I mumbled sleepily, trying to go back to sleep. But, the alarm still blared its stupid sound. "Tee, please?" I asked again, stretching my arm behind to tap...nothing. I snapped up in bed, my head turning to my left. Beside's me was an empty spot that seemed somewhat neat. "Tegan!" I yelled out her name, my head swiveling around our bedroom. I saw no sign of my beautiful sister and girlfriend, and that made me pout.

I got up out of bed, in my black boy shorts, and put on one of Tegan's shirts which stopped below my butt. I combed my fingers through my hair as I stepped out of the bedroom, looking around with sleepy eyes. "Tegan!" I said, stiffing a yawn. I looked in the bathroom and study room, and nothing. All I could think of was that she left the house for some reason, even though it was Christmas and we both swore that it would be our day.

I just sighed as I watched the snow fall outside, covering the ground in a white blanket of coldness. I snapped my head behind me, thinking that I had heard something. "Hello!?" I asked, "Who's there?" I got no reply. I left the study room and headed downstairs, my fists up like a boxer on tv. I got down and looked around, but still saw nothing. "Tegan!" I yelled, my voice a little scared now. "This isn't funny if your the one making those noises." I said. I pulled out my phone, ready to call the cops, but saw the door going down into the basement/studio room was open.

I gripped my phone tight in my hand and walked down into the studio, curios as to who would be down here. When I got down, I had to stop in my tracks with my eyes wide open. I rapidly blinked, making sure that what I was seeing was real.

There, underneath the christmas tree, was my sister Tegan with a big bow atop her head. "Tee?" I asked, "What are you doing?"

She gave me a big, gummy smile and spread her arms out. "Merry Christmas Sara." She told me, not answering my question. "Merry Christmas to you as well Tee." I told her, "But, why are you wearing a bow and underneath the tree? I was very upset when I woke up and you weren't there." I said, my lip giving her a small pout. She got up from underneath the tree and ran the short distance to me. She wrapped me in her big, warm bear hug and rubbed her cheek against mine. "I'm sorry." She told me. "I wanted to surprise you with my present." She told me.

I raised my eyebrow as I looked over to the tree and only saw my gift to her. I looked back and her and raised an eyebrow, "What's your present?" I asked her. She pulled away from me and looked at me with her similar, but so so different eyes, and cupped my cheeks with her hands. "Me." She said, then brought her lips to mine. I smiled into the kiss and kissed her back, thinking that this may be the best Christmas by far.
