Nursery Rhymes
"Why do you trust Knock Out so much?"
The dark blue Decepticon turned and faced the spider like femme, yellow optics perplexed and confused.
"He's my friend…" began Breakdown. "We've been close for a long time."
"Why do you stay at his side for so long? Don't you think he'll ever… betray you?"
This made Breakdown even more confused.
"… We're both Decepticons, in case if you hadn't notice. I hardly think he would betray me."
"Well, aren't we being naive," began Airachnid. "With that easily trusting attitude of yours, you'll be used up and manipulated in no time. Where is your 'medic' now?"
Toying with Autobots was amusing. Playing around with someone who was the same loyalty as hers was even more entertaining.
Suddenly, a strong force slammed closely against the wall she stood near and she realized if the lethargic mech moved a breeze closer, she would've landed herself in the med bay. Breadown's optics flamed with anger, then cooled off and he backed down.
"You can insult me, but insult any of my friends, and you'll regret it…!" he gritted. "Sure, he can get conceited and stuck up from time to time, but… he saved me more than I can thank him. There were times when he can act like a femme, but take that away… and he wouldn't be Knock Out. He sometimes speaks his mind and a slip of the glossal can land him into trouble. I've been a victim of his mouth, but deep down inside… he doesn't mean it. And I think… he also understands what's going on with me, not only physically. He knows me. And I understand him back. Truth is, everybody's going to hurt you. You just have to find the ones worth suffering for."
Sincerity. Honesty. Compassion…
That's what was gleaming in his yellow optics. The Decepticon in front of her wasn't exactly bright, but instead of intelligence his kindness was so much brighter. Did she really overlook all that within him?
She realized her breath was held ever since Breakdown was talking the whole time.
Not many creatures got out of the little game she liked to play on others. And this moment was the first time anyone got out of it and won.
Once Breakdown realized he was too close for comfort, he awkwardly backed away and began to walk to the other end of the corridor. Airachnid stroked between where her arm and shoulder were. Breakdown would have given her a knuckled blow if he hadn't missed.
As she turned to walk away from him, she could hear a snicker from both Breakdown and newly seen Knock Out. A few notes of song echoed in the corridor .
"The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water spout…"
A leering glare came upon her indigo optics as her spark stung from stricken pride, but a toxic smile came across her lips as she recalled another children's song that she heard on a frequency. It fitted the situation, and a certain mech's appearance.
"Do what you want cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate…!"
Note*~
The 'Truth is, everybody's going to hurt you. You just have to find the ones worth suffering for' line's a Bob Marley quote. ^^ Just to let you know.
