Zoe woke up and walked into the living room. Her brother, Luke, was asleep on the couch. She looked at the clock, it was ten minutes past twelve. Mom and dad are at work and won't be back till late. Stepping over her kitten, Zoe walked to the couch and stared down at her brother. His black hair was messy and he wore yesterdays clothes. She yanked the blanket that mom or dad had put on him and he went into a tight ball. She then picked up her kitten, Jace, and put him on Luke's head. Luke's eyes opened slowly. He reached up and grabbed Jace, who meowed in surprise. He looked at me, his grey eyes still dilated and stormy, then sighed. He put Jace on the ground and got up to go to his room. I smiled at him when he passed me and he met my eyes, sea green meeting gray storm. He was clearly annoyed at the fact that his little sister was waking him up again.
Zoe quickly put a bow in her hair. She was going to a party that her crush was going to be at. She heard the door open and close, but she didn't look, she knew it was only her dad and her mom. She didn't pay attention to what they were saying till they passed her door and she heard her name. Curiosity took her over and she put her ear against the door. "- Half blood.", what? Did she hear correctly? " No, Percy, Luke has been here since he was one and he is still alive. Do you think that monsters just decide to stop attacking for 15 years?" She heard her dad sigh and footsteps.
