I was coming back to the stables when I saw that Sleipnir's stall was empty but that wasn't what made my heart leap in my throat. As I put Majesty into her stall, I looked over and saw that his armor was gone and that could only mean one thing. I ran to the palace courtyard hoping against hope that I would reach him in time. Once there, I saw of Asgard's best warriors along with Thor and, his brother, my husband Loki.

Once he saw me Loki threw a look to his brother and I heard him tell Loki to make it quick. Loki dismounted his horse and ran over to me.

"Wha-Wha-" I breathed before he could silence me with a kiss, "What are you doing?"

"We might be going to start a war." He sighed.

"With who? Why?"

"Jotunheim"

I could feel my eyes widen and my brows hoist in reaction, "Jotunheim?" Everything stopped for me hearing the name of that particular realm I looked around at the beauty of Asgard trying not to imagine this place frozen in the Eternal Ice Age that they tried on Midgard a long time ago. I shivered.

"Thor wants retribution for ruining his coronation."

"You told me a long time ago, that I would never have to deal with the Jotuns ever again." I felt like a child as I hung my head, "You promised."

Loki held either side of my jaw forcing me to look at him, "You know how useless Thor is without me. He'd probably die within minutes if I'm not there."

"Don't go?" I pleaded with a weak voice but his eyes said it all. He stooped down to give me a farewell kiss.

"Keep the bed warm for me."

I smiled a little bit as I answered, "Always."

He smiled and kissed my fingers, but I didn't let him go before I had the chance to kiss his.

"Come on, Brother!" Thor impatiently called.

"Ignore him."

"Don't I always?"

He smiled at me.

"Take care of yourself. I don't wanna be waiting forever."

Before he turned I heard him mutter under his breath, "Thor owes me so big for this."

I watched him mount Sleipnir and flash me one of his reassuring smiles but I wasn't convinced. I watched him ride off with his brother, Lady Sif and the Warriors Three. I tried to reach out to touch his thoughts but there was some kind of block between his mind and mine that I couldn't break through. Looks like I had questions of my own to ask when he got back then a small voice in the back of my mind quietly corrected me, "If he comes back." as quickly as the adherent thought came to mind I quickly swept it out in I'd known him he had never not come back a foreign realm but this was Jotunhiem.
