Hi people. This is the first AtLA fic I've posted, mostly because I don't want to post them until they're finished. A quick back story for this fic; Palm is Aang's older sister, and loves him to a fault. She is the Lesser Avatar, bit more about that in the fic, which is basically an avatar that can't access the avatar state, or energy bend. She would be able to mind bend, but that's an ability that grows weaker as conventional bending gets stronger. So, yeah... Um, read, relax, and review, please. ^^

Aang was in the spirit world. He'd almost died. Just because I couldn't find him in time. I walked up to him, where he stood as he wondered what to do next.

"Aang." I called. He looked towards me.

"Palm! Wait, you're dead aren't you?" He asked.

"No, little brother. I'm alive. I'll find you." I told him. Thank the spirits, it was now known that I could tell him. "You remember the legend scrolls?" I reached out towards the boy.

He nodded. "Well, remember how no one ever had time to read you the first one?"

"Yeah, what was it about?" He cocked his head, looking up at me.

"Oh, Aang... This is going to shock you, but you need to know. The power that the avatar holds is too much for one person, there are actually two. The greater, which is you, and the lesser. The lesser must protect the greater, and to make sure that what ever happens, they are always older and as closely related as possible." I took a breath, and looked at the now very confused Aang. "If the greater stops aging physically, the same will happen to the lesser. They can't be killed while their greater half isn't in danger. That's how I'm still alive, Aang. I'm the lesser avatar."

"But... But..."

"You need to get back to your friends, Aang. You will remember this conversation. I love you Aang, and I really miss you. Don't stay still to long, and if you end up lost in the fire nation, Kuzon would be happy to lend you his name." I laugh a little at the joke, as does Aang. "I'll tell you what happened later Aang, but you need to wake up. Goodbye, ... Scoots."

"Bye Palm. I've missed you too."

"Remember, you're in my heart."

"And you're in mine." He smiled, as we used the phrase that had once been our way of telling our friends that we were never truly apart. I kissed his forehead, and left the spirit world.

"Well, Palm?"

"He's alive. He'll still be at the planned invasion. We'll get Iroh back. I'm not going to join the corse of action you plan to. Remember, young man, you're only sixty."

"But your talents-"

"The world isn't ready to know of the lesser. We'll wait until after the war is won by my brother."

"That might not happen. His friend learned much faster than him, I taught him Palm, there's no way he'll have mastered all four in time! He doesn't even have a firebending teacher yet!"

"Ku, calm down. There's only one element he needs, and I've made sure his teacher will find him in time."

"But-"

"Ku, you will drop this. Now find Jong-Jong, the order needs to get a message to his half brother. I'm going back to my travels." A swish is heard, followed closely by a click. "Goodbye, Ku." A swoosh, and the sound of flight.

"I wish she'd stop calling me that." The one called Ku sighed, and his foot steps could be heard, walking off.
