All in a Kiss
Disclaimer: I don't own Pirates! *sob*
The rain was coming down in sheets; the wind was lashing out around her like a whip. Bodies of Navy soldiers and pirates littered The Flying Dutchman. At the moment though, Elizabeth Swann wasn't paying attention to any of it. Just a moment before, Barbossa had pronounced her and Will husband and wife. She swirled around, ready to kill whoever was striking at her from behind. The swords clashed, and she looked to see her attacker. Her gaze was met by two orbs of chocolate brown, warm and loving. The next thing she heard was Barbossa's voice above the rain and rain shouting, "Just kiss!"
Well it's now or never, thought Elizabeth, as she grabbed Will's arm and pulled him to her, their lips meeting in such a fiery passion, it took her breath away. His lips were warm, wet, and tasted of salt. God, she had almost forgotten how good he tasted. His fingers were tangled in her hair, his thumb warm and rough against her cheek. This is what she had missed and wanted during those weeks of awkward silences. With this kiss, it seemed she could say everything she had wanted to say forever.
"I'm sorry, I've missed you, I love you."
And he seemed to understand what she meant.
"I've missed you too, I forgive you, I love you more than life itself."
Finally, they pulled apart, with ragged breaths and wildly beating hearts. For just a moment, the entire world was as it should it have been long ago.
And, it all happened in a kiss.
