Note from the author: It's a story from a Pokie's POV (Point of View). Pokemon is (c) Nintendo Of Japan/America,
but the characters are (c) me. I still say Pokemon speak to each other in English and have their own names that
they refer to each other by. Before I begin my story, allow me to give you some info on some of the characters.
And yes, they're from the Safari Zone, my fave place in the game :) (This is during the Red/Blue/Yellow Versions)
Dralion - Dratini, male.
Sakura - Scyther, female.
Pheonix - Moltres, male.
{{No name yet}} - Pokemon Trainer, female.
Those are the main guys, enjoy.
----------------------------------
The afternoon sun shone its beams upon the Safari Zone, touching down onto the grass, shining off the
lake, and beating down on Dralion as he dozed upon a rock that protruded from the water. He bunched and
stretched his thin body with a yawn, sliding off the rock as he woke slowly. Rearing his head from the
crystal-clear lake and shaking the wetness from his head and eartips, the Dratini noticed a metallic
glint near the fence boundary.
It was Sakura, one of the only female Scyther in the Safari. Many said she was as beautiful as any
blossom, but as deadly as a pack of Victreebel. She plucked a small flower that had grown wound around
the gate and gazed at it, before tossing it into the air. With two swift swings the flower hit the
grass in four seperate pieces. The same thing was on her mind as always, but this time she was willing
to carry out her plan: To escape.
"This place is a prison in itself. What's the point of even being here? We're all gonna end up getting
caught by some trainer who'll mistreat us." She muttered to herself. "Well, I'm not gonna let it happen
to me!"
Standing upon the fence, Sakura closed her eyes, spread her blades and wings, then shot into the air.
Dralion watched her flight until the spot in the sky was no longer visible. The Dratini turned his
attention away, it had always been Sakura's dream to leave the Safari Zone, and now she had done what
she wanted.
Sakura touched down in the fields of the Bike Trail. The breeze rushed past, rustling the grass. However,
that breeze wasn't from the wind, it was from the speed of a Bike, yet Sakura failed to notice until a
shadow loomed behind her. She turned around, and froze in fear.
A Moltres stood there, the area where he was standing had burned the grass around him. Sakura took one
step back to retreat, but the Moltres took three steps forward. Sakura crossed one blade over the other
and concentrated hard.
"Agility!" She shouted in her head. In an instant she shot past her opponent in a desperate attempt to
escape, but a voice rang out from below her.
"Moltres! Follow the Scyther and use your Fire Blast to bring it down!"
The Moltres obeyed, and was soon on the tail of the fleeting Scyther. Opening his beak, he exhaled a flurry
of flames at his target. It struck square and true, and Sakura let out a screech and fell to the ground,
still in flames. She rolled over, only to see a red and white PokeBall speeding toward her.
"No, not this!" She thought "I didn't escape to get CAUGHT!" The ball struck her while she was still in
thought, pulling her inside. She slammed against the sides, but it was no use as she was just about out of
power. Sakura slowly let go, allowing herself to be caught.
