Hermione stood in the large head common room,waiting to start the nightly rounds with the headboy who was none other than Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret. He was ten minutes late and she couldn't help but wonder what was holding him up. She walked towards his dormitory door intending to knock when she heard a guitar. 'I didn't know he played' Hermione thought to herself. She stopped for a moment to listen and was quite shocked when she heard him start to sing.

Hermione tried to stop herself but she giggled at the sweetness of the lyrics. She must have been louder than she thought because suddenly Malfoy pulled the door open catching her in the act of eavesdropping on him.
"I thought you had better manners than that Granger. " he stood in the doorway with his guitar in hand, and she tried to regain her last scraps of dignity.
"Since when do you sing Malfoy?" She couldn't hid her curiosity any longer.
"since this summer," He decided to be honest with her now that she had learned his secret. " theres a girl I like and I wanted to impress her, so I wrote this song for her."
"well it's very good. I had no idea you could be so..." she searched for the right word "sweet."
Draco smiled at her,and she was slightly taken aback, she had never seen him smile before. 'he's really very handsome when he smiles...' the thought brought a blush to her cheeks.
"So do you like the song?"
She thought for a moment before replying "yes, Whoever you wrote it for is very lucky." He grinned and wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm glad you think so" then as the comprehension was flashing in her eyes he swooped down and kissed her.
