Dumbstruck, that's what Harry was as he stared at the three year old in Severus Snape's black robe.
"Harry, is there a problem?" Headmistress McGonagall asked as she calmly sipped her tea.
"No-Yes, actually. I... What happened?" Harry sputtered.
Headmistress McGonagall sighed but re-explained the situation anyway
"Why me?" Harry almost whined. He didn't understand why he was asked to take care of the smaller version of a man who loathed his existence.
"Because, Harry, I find you most suitable to take care of my friend," she replied.
No! He most definitely was not most suitable for that job. First off, Snape antagonized him all through his classes as a student. Second off, Harry did not want a huge responsibility such as taking care of a toddler. Not to mention a manipulative wizard at that. McGonagall had to understand this!
"Minerva..."
"Harry... take a chance, will you? You never know. This child may change your life. Besides, he has no memory of magic except the one the witch put in his head." As she spoke her eyes stared warmly at the sleeping child in front of her. She knew that if she would she'd take Snape in herself but the responsibilities she had were much too time consuming she couldn't have time to take good care of him and raise him properly.
"Minerva, there are many other people who would gladly take him in," Harry argued.
"Yet I ask you. There are not many people I trust to take care of Severus. He is a foe of many and they'd try to hurt him as he is in this vulnerable state so I ask you kindly, as a friend and a colleague to take care of him for the mean time as we figure out how to break this curse."
Harry grumbled as he carried a de-aged Severus Snape into his messy abode. The three year old was in his custody for only three hours and he'd lost him twice, disrupted a class in search of him and caused alarm at the wand store. Not even a full day had gone by and Harry was proper exhausted and ready to sleep a full night's sleep. Unluckily for Harry, he couldn't do that. He still had to go to muggle world and buy Severus clothes, he needed to restock his pantry as he had been living off of restaurant food and takeaway, give Severus a bath and fix the little one a place to sleep because there was no way he could share his queen size bed with the little rascal when all he wanted was a good night sleep. He was already regretting his decision.
The second Harry set Snape down, he immediately regretted it. The child was a bundle of energy as he ran around, little giggles and squeals of excitement leaving his mouth as he ran around knocking everything he could reach. Where was all this excitement when I carried him here? He could have used it all up before I apparated us here, a baffled Harry wondered, too tired to chase after the little one. Harry sat on the sofa and let out a big sigh. Maybe if he let Snape tire himself out it'd make his afternoon easier. Maybe...
Hi, so sorry about the coded chapter before. I'm new and I don't know how to use this very well. Anyway, I hope you can see this better.
