Disclaimer: I don't own Card Captor Sakura.
A/N: My friend, Jasmine, gave me the idea for this story, even the title. So… thanks Jasmine!

The snow cascaded down from the dark clouds slowly, reflecting the lights of Hong Kong as cars sped passed and people walked the quiet streets. It was late, but the city was filled with a life that would last until mourning, when all businesses opened shop to sell the goods their buyers needed.
Of course, this portrayed little concern on the part of the young boy who sat on the large bed, staring outside the window as a feeble cough emitted from the figure huddled under the covers behind him.
"Syaoran, please… you must marry." Came a soft voice as a pale hand grasped his own. "Bare the Li family a child from your own flesh and blood."
The boy said nothing to this as his grip tightened its hold on the other persons hand, briefly. Letting go and standing to walk towards the door, Syaoran glanced out the window again to watch the white snow fall from the sky as the noise of the city hummed in his ears quietly.
"I promise." He replied, looking at the dieing person in the room before turning away and striding over to the door, shutting it gently behind him.

Three days later…
With a dreadful sight, Sakura blew on her straw to form bubbles in her drink, making small popping noises as one burst after another. "Forget about it."
"But you would be absolutely perfect!"
"I don't have the guts to enter a fashion show, Tomoyo." Sakura replied with a sigh, her cousin giving a disappointed pout in return as the two conversed in the small diner just outside Tomoedo district. "Besides, there are plenty of other girls who are better suited for the job than me."
"That's not true!"
"You know it is." Sakura shot back angrily, not wanting to continue their conversation. Tomoyo, however, looked troubled as she took a sip from her drink, setting it down before a serious expression made its way onto her pale features.
"Its because of your mother, right?" she asked, knowing the answer already but wanting to hear it from the other girl.
"I don't have to listen to you," Sakura said, standing up as her green eyes flashed with a hidden rage. "The fact is, I'm only twelve and you want me to think about a career in modeling."
"Sakura--"
"Forget it, Tomoyo!" She yelled, turning away from her cousin who shouted after her as she ran out the door, her school uniform becoming disarrayed from the sudden movement. With a helpless feeling building up inside of her, Sakura ran down the street, losing herself in the crowed of people as the faces blended together.
However, this seemed to continue on for what felt like an eternity until reality hit her again and she let her feet halt, Sakura was surprised to note that the sky had become dark.
Rubbing her shoulders, Sakura walked over to one of the swings that were in the park she found herself in, sitting down and letting silent tears fall from her eyes as she swayed back and forth before whipping her tears away in anger.
"Tomoyo, I could never hate you." Sakura mumbled, sniffling as a small trickle of rain began to descend from the clouds, mixing with her tears and soaking her clothes.
I just don't want to get hurt again…
