Amanita Virosa-Amaranthus-: yo! Uhm, yeah. I AM actually still working on Hiding, in fact I'm writing a chapter currently in class…rather than writing the essay that's gunna be due soon. Annyways, this here is a short…blurb, done in class by groups. We were supposed to use idioms (clichés kind of…pretty much just a different name), so that's why some of the lines will seem a bit weird for the situation. Friday Jones is NOT my character, but is rather a character belonging to the friend I wrote this with. (Her name wont be mentioned for privacy reasons, I'm sure you all understand…what with our pen names and such.) Anyways, enjoy this little blurb.

At a lone table in the corner of the coffee shop "The Coffee Place", Kai sat with a latte in front of him, absorbed in a book. The opening of the door came with a gust of gust of wind which tossed his silver bangs playfully. He glanced over his book only to wish he hadn't as Friday Jones entered the coffee shop. She looked around, and, noticing Kai she gave an enthusiastic "Hello!" She skipped over, though Kai kept his eyes lowered to his book. Friday plopped herself down beside him, waving her hand in front of his face.

"Look what the cat dragged in." Kai responded after a pause, annoyance clear in his voice. "What in the devil's name are you doing here?" Friday gave a sugary sweet smile as she batted her long, dark lashes. Kai blinked, unmoved and uninterested until her face was in front of his. She moved to sit on his lap as she reached for his latte, but he quickly pulled it from her reach. "What in the name of heaven do you want?" he said with a raised eyebrow.

"Just a little money favour." She said her voice still slick with the sugary sweetness.

"What's going down?" he asked a little skeptically.

"Just a little problem," she said innocently while patting his chest, "What you don't know won't hurt you."

"Evidently it will." He retorted as he leaned back, putting some distance between them. "What's in it for me?"

"The opportunity of a life time." She said with a dangerous smile and a wink as she curled her hand around his latte and took a slow, sweet sip.

Amanita Virosa-Amaranthus-: So there it is. Hope you enjoyed. I think I might do a…"vamping" of it…in the sense of, well, bringing it to a "M" rating. Lol. Anyways, thanks for reading again! Bui bui! (To my readers of Hiding, I'll try to update asap. Thanks for bearing with me)
