Chapter 1

Inside the Hogwarts library, several students could be found inside focusing on homework, reading a book, studying, or even enjoying the comfort of peace and quiet. One student in particular was reading 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen. This particular students name was Rosella Reyes. She was in her sixth-year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She had been sorted into the Hufflepuff house in her first-year. She was often described as an intelligent student who was loyal to everyone and respected everyone's decision and opinions unless they were judgmental of others.

Looking up at the clock in the library, Rosella shut her book before slipping it into her bag. Adjusting the purple headband that rested on her head, she stood up from her seat and straightened out her outfit before heading out of the library. She had decided that she was going to meet up with her best friend, Adisa. Adisa was also in her sixth-year at Hogwarts. Although the two of them were best friends, the one thing that had separated them was the Sorting Hat. Adisa had been sorted into the Gryffindor house. But even though they had been separated into two different houses that did not prevent the two from meeting each other since they had shared most of the same classes during their first-year at Hogwarts.

Slowly pacing herself as she walked out of the library, Rosella moved swiftly through the hallways before turning the corner. As she turned the corner, she collided into what she thought was a wall. Landing on her butt, she dusted herself off as she remained on the ground for a minute trying to catch her breath.

Cedric Diggory, a sixth-year student, had been walking from the opposite direction trying to get to the library so that he could study for his Charms test. As he rounded the corner, he hit something or someone. He looked down to see the black waist-length hair that the person had. His immediate thought was Cho Chang so he quickly reached out his hand to the person. As the person took his hand to help them up, Cedric offered a quick apology as the person dusted their outfit one more time still not looking up.

Rosella's heart froze when she heard the person offer an apology for knocking her down. It couldn't be. There was no way in hell it could be the person she was thinking it was. Rosella looked up and gasped. She had been right about who she really thought it was. It was Cedric Diggory. Cedric looked down at the person when they looked up. He himself was shocked and he knew she had been from the sound of her gasp. There was no way it could be Rosella Reyes. His Rose.

"Rose?" Cedric asked.

"Hi Cedric." She whispered.

Cedric took a look at her. She had grown so much from the last time he had seen her. And that was the problem for him. He didn't know when he had last seen her. He of course knew that she was going to school at Hogwarts but failed to even notice her. Although she was part of the Hufflepuff house, Cedric only spotted her when they were in the Great Hall. His eyes met her gaze. "You've grown since the last time I've seen you." He said.

"Of course I have. The last time you've really full seen me was over the summer. I mean we rarely ever see each other here because of our schedules. But I could say the same to you." She stated studying his features.

He had grown much taller than the last time she had seen him. His body structure had definitely changed, as he appeared more muscular than she could remember. She noted that Quidditch workouts were probably the reason for that. His facial features had also developed more. His face was far more handsome than even she could recall. But it was his eyes that she had always grown to love. Those grey eyes always remained mesmerizing just like his personality.

"You must not be giving me enough credit. I actually do notice you more than you think. I see you when we're eating in the Great Hall." He explained.

Rosella looked towards the rest of the hall behind Cedric in an attempt to avoid his gaze. People were rushing back and forth. She noticed one person in particular waving their hand in the air signaling for her to come over. She turned her attention back to him and excused herself, "I don't mean to be rude but I must go. I'm sorry about running into you."

Cedric watched as she walked away from him and towards the person who had been calling her name. He watched closely as she was embraced in a hug. God she had grown so much that he was still in shock. She was far more beautiful. He couldn't help but remember his father telling him so much about her and her family. They were all family friends. His father and her mother had attended Hogwarts together and became best of friends. And they were still friends from what he knew of. But the thing that Cedric remembered most was all the summers that Rosella would spend at the Diggory's home. She had spent every summer since she was born with them. Cedric couldn't help but find it funny that even though they spent so much time together during the summer, they barely spoke when they were in school.

Although Cedric was older than her by a couple of months, the age different never mattered to either of them. They enjoyed being in each other's company during those summers that they got to spend with each other. He loved how caring and passionate she was towards everything but most of all he loved how loving and genuine she was when it came to people. It also was a plus to him that she loved sports just as much as he did even though she chose not to join the Quidditch team. He really wished that she had though.

Adisa looked up at the hallway while talking to Rosella and noticed Cedric kept his gaze on them. She shook her head as Rosella looked at her and asked, "What's wrong, Di?"

"Cedric's still looking at you." She said as Rosella frowned a little.

"Just ignore him." Rosella said.

"How can I not? I mean it makes me feel a little guilty that I asked you to come over here while he seems to have enjoyed catching up with you." She said.

"I wouldn't even call it catching up and besides we have nothing to talk about. Come on. We have to get to class." Rosella said dragging her best friend away from the watchful eye of Cedric.

"Why don't you like talking to him, Ella?" She asked.

Cedric watched as Rosella pulled Adisa away from his sight. They were headed off in the direction of the classrooms. He watched as another Hufflepuff student stopped them. It was their best friend, Hailey Murray. Although he wanted to follow them, his attention was pulled back by one of his friends who pulled him towards the library.
