Jade was ticked as a clock. How dare Beck do what he did. She was furious with him.
"What the ****," she exclaimed.
"Problem?" Beck asked calmly.
"IS THERE A PROBLEM? YOU DYED MY CLOTHES PINK!"
"Yes I did," he said calmly, "Actions have consequences Jade and you need to learn that"
She growled at him.
"You know I'm not your child," she said.
"It doesn't matter. Actions still have consequences. Now come on. We're going to be late for school."
Jade got up. She took a shower and she came back out in her pajamas.
"Aren't you going to get ready," he asked her.
"I am ready," she said, "I'm not wearing pink today. I will never wear pink Beck.
"Put on some clothes," he hissed, "You're embarrassing yourself. If you had listened in the first place we wouldn't be having this conversation."
"Oh I'm not embarrassed," Jade said, "I'm not embarrassed at all."
Jade hated pink. It reminded her of days that she could never get back. It reminded her of days when she was happy. It reminded her of the bright days before her sister died.
"Here's the deal," Beck said, "For every day that you are nice to Tori I will dye one of your clothes back to it's original color but first you have to listen to me"
"Oh **** no," Jade said angrily, "I'm done with this game. I'm not going to play nice with the ***** who tried to steal my girlfriend."
"She never tried to steal me," Beck said, "Now put on something and get ready. We're going to be late."
"I am ready," Jade said, "I'm wearing this"
"It's pajamas Jade," Beck said, "We do not wear pajama's in the morning"
"WELL I'M SURE AS HELL NOT GOING TO WEAR THE SAME COLOR I WAS WEARING THE DAY MY SISTER DIED," Jade yelled.
Beck flushed. He had forgotten about her sister.
"Jade," he said, "Crystal wouldn't want you being sad your whole life because she loves you"
"You mean she loved me. She died remember?"
"She's in heaven," Beck said
"Yeah... which is the opposite of where I'm going to be. We all know that."
Beck grabbed her by the shoulders and forced her to look into his eyes.
"Don't you ever say that again," he told her firmly, "Because it is not true. Look you can try as hard as you want to, to push people away but you will never push me away. I love you to much. Jade you know who I am. You know my past and you know my present as well as my future. There is no way that you are ever going to push me away. You can't push Tori away either. She loves you too. So does Cat. Andre, Robbie and Rex is included too."
"Great," she said, "A puppet loves me"
"Crystal loves you too," Beck said, "and honestly Jade don't even begin to imagine that I would let us be apart. What purpose would my life be without you. It wouldn't"
"Well I can't be who I'm not," Jade said.
"Good," Beck said, "Because I fell in love with who you are not who you're not"
"Beck we're from two different worlds"
"Yes," he said, "and I don't care. You're in my world. You are my world. I love you Jade. Here, you can wear my purple shirt today and this afternoon I'll get you a whole new wardrobe but only one black item"
"Okay," Jade said, "Fine"
Jade wore a purple shirt, a pair of black pajama bottoms and for once a lighter heart. Her hurt was a long way from being fixed but Beck opened her heart. That's always painful in the beginning but worth it in the end.
