This is the play that my school is doing this fall. I play Beatrice and I'm just a freshman, so please excuse me while I smile endlessly. lol J/K. Anyhoo, I just thought this would be interesting because they mention how Beatrice and Benedick used to love each other but then something happened and they starting fighting, yet we are never told what happened. I hope you all like it!
DISCLAMIER: I'm glad I don't own this play or else I would be dead right now.
Oh, before you read this, just so you know, this takes place right before Don Pedro proposes to Beatrice. The first quote is Don Pedro's and the rest are Beatrice's lines.

LOST THE HEART
"Come lady, come:
You have lost
The heart
Of Signior Benedick."
Sweet prince,
It seems I 'ave forgotten
of your absence
That year so rotten.
How odd indeed
That your simple statement
Could bring forth to me
So much resentment.
My shells breaks apart
And to thine eye
I feel naked
And out slowly comes my reply.
"Indeed my lord,
He lent it me awhile;
and I gave him
Use for it."
The happiest days
I ever did live through
Had been when love for each other
Was all that we knew.
But not long
Did it last
And one must not
Cling so to the past.
"A double heart
For his single one:
Marry, once before
He won it of me
With false dice."
I gave Benedick
My heart on a platter
And he hath shoved it away
As if it were no matter.
Whilst my love was true,
He only played in jest.
My shattered heart barely beat
Within my chest.
"Therefore your grace
May well say
I have lost it."
