I do not own Percy Jackson, and I do not own this song either. This is a parody. Enjoy!
'Twas a night on the Argo, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Except a mechanic who worked day and night,
In hopes they would win against Gaea's great might.
The seven were nestled all snug in their beds,
While dreams of tomorrow danced in their heads.
Save for the wise girl who drew battle plans,
Her friends would need them once the battle began.
When out on the deck there arose such a clatter,
Percy sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the door he ran to in a flash,
And away to the deck he certainly did dash.
The light of the moon gave way to a shape,
He squinted to see what in the shadows was draped.
When what to his sleep deprived eyes did appear,
But something fortunately not seen for years,
With multiple heads and poison saliva,
He knew in a moment it must be a hydra.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name.
"Now wise girl, Now Jason, now Hazel and Frank!
On Piper, on Leo, before it knocks you out point blank!
Now be sure you remember not to cut off its head,
And hey, get Coach Hedge out of his bed!"
As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When Jason met with an obstacle, and mount to the sky.
So up to the deck the seven they flew
With their hands filled with weapons, and a screaming Coach Hedge too—
And then, in a roar, Percy heard somewhere quite close
The thrashing and howling and each venom dose.
As he drew in his breath, and was turning around,
Straight behind him it stood making such sound.
It's scales shone in the moonlight, from his head to his claws,
And venom dripped from his mouth with sharp teeth from his jaw.
Percy heard more yelling and some empousa appeared,
More appeared when to dust the others disappeared.
He yelled in fear as a head came and struck,
And he pulled out riptide from his pocket where it was tucked.
His sword bounced off as he struggled to harm,
But another head bit out and nearly took off his arm.
His eyes squinted and gritted his teeth,
When Coach Hedge ran forward pulling a knife out of his sheath.
The Coach looked angry and swore revenge for destroying is club,
And ran forward to attack it as if it was a shrub.
They were losing hope when fire soared and a boom was heard,
And he laughed when he saw it looking quite absurd.
The hydra was smoking and he didn't see any heads,
Soon gave him to know he had nothing to dread.
Leo waved from the controls but went straight to his work,
And did the repairs; when the ship turned with a jerk.
But their trouble was not over when a face in the ashes arose,
Gaea smiled evilly when everyone froze.
The seven sprang forward when Percy had called,
They could not do her harm and she laughed when they looked quite appalled.
But they heard the dirt queen exclaim, when she melted out of sight—
"Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!"
Piper glanced up looking very confused,
The look in her eyes told Percy she was not amused.
"I wanted to ask and don't mean to be blunt,
But hey, isn't Christmas in around five months?"
