"Kate?", Rick said and turned to me. "What is it?", I replied and looked at him.
"You know ever since we met 8 years ago, I've been feeling younger every time I spend time with you".
I grinned.
"You're my one and only"
I leaned in and kisses his lips softly.
"Remember when we were sitting in front of the precinct and kissed in your car?"
"Fun times", I giggled.
"And then after work we drove to your fathers and kissed in his front yard. We should do that soon"
"Are you curious as to how my dad is doing or do you just want to kiss me?"
"Maybe a bit of both", he grinned.
"You're unbelievable"
"You love me"
I sighed.
"I do"
He cocked his head, furrowed his brow and looked deep in thought for a while.
"You know when I've had feelings for you for quite a while, all I wanted to do was invite you over and tell you how I feel"
"Why didn't you?"
"You were dating", he replied and looked rather sad.
"Oh"
"I just wanted to spend my time with you, falling even deeper for you"
"Well what's stopping you now?"
A smile spread across his face.
"Nothing, that's exactly what I am doing"
Now it was my time to smile and I leaned in to kiss him.
After we broke from our kiss, he wrapped his arms around me and I placed my head on his chest.
"Do you remember when we were sat on Ryan's roof during the sunrise and everything felt just so magical, so perfect"
"Clear as ever. I remember you looking really happy. I am still not quite sure if it was because of me or the couple of drinks you had"
"Always you"
"God you are so cheesy Rick"
"You love me for it"
"I do", I echoed my words from earlier.
"I love you Kate"
"I love you too and I am so happy about how everything is right now. I couldn't imagine my life being any different now"
"I am glad you think so too"
