Dear Elsa,

The honeymoon is amazing. Corona is gorgeous, lots of sunshine, fresh air, and the lantern festival was completely breathtaking. We had a boat right on the water, so romantic. We even got to send one off. Don't worry, I drew a snowflake on there too. Had to represent, right? Kristoff sends his love. Don't tell Sven I said this, but I think he's actually starting to miss Olaf's antics. See you in a few weeks!

Love,

Anna

P.S. Kristoff says the trolls contacted him in a dream last night and would like to see you at your earliest convenience.

Elsa was startled by a knock on her door, "Excuse me… miss." She looked up from her desk and turned towards the door. "Yes," she straightened out her skirt. "Come in."

"Miss," Greta, one of the ladies in waiting came bustling in. She was more like a mother figure, or an eccentric aunt, than any servant. Most of the staff were though. "It sounds as if they caught that weasel duke trying to sneak across the boarders again." She shook her head and tsked aloud as she began to comb through Elsa's thick white-blond hair.

"The Duke of Wesselton?" Asked with disgust, the plump woman nodded her head and began to work the hair into a braid. "That's the third time this month."

"Forget a frozen heart," Elsa caught the woman's eye in the mirror. "That one has a frozen brain."

"Anna said something to that effect a few letters ago," Elsa sighed with a smile. After years of isolation, you wouldn't think that she'd be so effected with her sister being gone. But she was. For the first time in forever, she felt truly deserted. She had sent the newlyweds on an extended tour of the surrounding kingdoms for their honey moon. They were to be spoiled senseless, but also act as ambassadors and reiterate the more amicable situation of Arrendale to the Kings and Queens. Opening trade lines and making a few allies couldn't hurt. Especially because they had made their share of enemies in the last few months, namely trade giant Wesselton.

After completely shutting down relations with the country, the leadership retaliated. By far the boldest moves coming from The Duke himself. Trying to personally off Elsa. The duke had been exiled last she heard, now he was just plain crazy with a bad toupee. But the King didn't agree with the harsh decision, and with tensions rising, espionage tactics coming to light, and traitors to the kingdom coming forward all was definitely not well.

A booming pounding on the door surprised both of the women, everyone had been on edge since the duke's covert forces had nearly breached the castle. "Queen Elsa," one of the servant's deep voices called out, the recognition calmed her nerves. She sat down from the protective stance she had taken and nodded to the Greta, who hurried over to open the door.

One of the servants she had known since she was little came in, huffing slightly… he was carrying a letter. Elsa smiled warmly, another from Anna so soon? Then her heart began to beat a little faster, what was wrong? She fought to keep her composure and waited for the explanation.

"An urgent message," Elsa's heart began to pound. "From King Heinz."

She breathed an audible sigh of relief and relaxed into her chair, "Who?"

"Um…" the man hesitated. "The king."

"Of where exactly?" Elsa examined her braid in the mirror.

"The newly crowned king… of The Southern Isles," he winced and Elsa's eyes widened. That man had the gall to contact her after the pain his idiot little brother had caused? Greta gasped and patted Elsa's shoulder lovingly.

Well, this wasn't going to be good.

I need some chocolate.
