I fully believe that as the author I owe each of you a description of the characters before you read. So I'll start by saying that they're identical twins, same height, same weight, same face (which, by the way, you-the reader-get to imagine). The differences are listed below.
Stella: Eyes- Gray and Cream. Look gray.
Long waist-length (straight) dark brown hair.
Sybil: Eyes- Lavender and Turquoise.
Shoulder-length dark brown (curly) hair.
Stella had always hated her Grace, it just gave her a headache. The only useful thing that came out of her Grace was the fact that she could make her eyes look the same color, and so she was only a kitchen maid in King Randa's castle, while her adopted mother was the Graced Head Chef. All Stella did was scrub floors and put meals on trays to be served to the king and his court, every single day for ten years since the day she turned seven. She hated it. Her hands had rashes all over them, her hair net and pins dug into her scalp, and the wretched dresses and shoes pinched and squeezed. Not to mention what crawling around on the floors every day did to her knees; but at least it made her a bit stronger. Stella absolutely despised her job, but she went through with it all, waiting for the day that her sister would come and take her away from this awful place.
Every day, there would be one simple routine. Five in the morning wake up. Help make breakfast, put it on trays, clean the kitchen, scrub the floor, wash the pans, and repeat for lunch and dinner. Every day same thing, not once had it changed. Stella didn't know why she didn't just leave. She was only granted one hour of free time per week, and her meals were leftovers from the servants' meal. She hated her life and she hated the people but she could do absolutely nothing about it. She was powerless, a seventeen-year-old girl working in the kitchens of King Randa's castle. But she put up with it all, hoping that one day her wages might add up to be enough to move out and buy a small home, or if not, she was waiting for the day that she would find her sister, and she would leave this dreaded place forever and always, and never see the spires of Randa's castle again.
