DM Musical Sick Days
One day in the Gru residence, Edith didn't want to get out of bed at all. She didn't want to eat her breakfast of go to school either. She felt hot and tired too. To add to that she couldn't stop shivering. ''Edith, get up you're going to be late for school!'' Lucy shouted running upstairs. But Edith just groaned in response to her mum's words and rolled over burying herself in the nice cosy duvet.
Seconds later Lucy followed by Gru came in and walked over to Edith's bedside. ''Come on Edith, your sisters are all ready to go to school and you're not because you're still in bed'' Gru said. ''I don't feel so good'' Edith moaned loudly.
Lucy felt her daughter's sweaty forehead. But Gru had already gone to find the digital thermometer and came back with it shortly. Lucy popped it into Edith's mouth and waited for a few seconds before taking it out and reading the results. ''100.4 degrees!'' Lucy exclaimed ''No school today for you Edith, you have a temperature''.
''I'd better take Margo and Agnes to school'' Gru said, looking at his watch to see how late it was. '''Oh ok then, see you later'' Lucy said. She knew how Gru was worried about Margo and Agnes being late for school while they had been dealing with Edith.
When Gru and her sisters had gone. Edith felt bored just lying in bed so Lucy let her take her duvet to the settee and watch TV for a little while. Next Edith did some colouring in her colouring in book. Meanwhile after school, Gru had taken Margo and Agnes to the local park to ride their bikes for a bit.
But just as he was sitting down to rest on a park bench, he heard a crash and a loud scream which turned to sobbing! He quickly ran over to see what the matter was. He found Agnes sitting on the tarmac path next to her bike which was lying on its side with the wheels slowly spinning. What's more Agnes was crying! ''Agnes fell off her bike'' Margo quickly explained. ''Are you hurt Agnes?'' Gru asked his daughter. Even though Agnes wasn't hurt badly, but she had scraped not one, but both her knees and they were very sore! ''Come on then, let's get you home'' Gru said. ''Come on Margo''.
Once they were back at home, Lucy cleaned up Agnes's knees, put some ointment on both of them and stuck a big pink plaster on each of them.
Later on that day the family had a surprise visitor, Gru gasped when he opened the front door when the visitor rang the doorbell. It was Antonio Perez, the very boy who Margo had once met at the Paradise Mall! But the latter had cheated on Margo at the Cinco-de-Mayo party and Gru had frozen Antonio with the freeze ray.
''What do you want Mr Break Margo's Heart?'' Gru groaned. ''I came to cheer up your middle aged daughter who isn't feeling very well''. Antonio said. He held out a small tablet. ''Very well'' Gru sighed rather heavily. Edith was very surprised to see Antonio again. ''Antonio what are you doing here?'' she asked.
''I heard you weren't feeling well'' Antonio said ''so I thought I'd share some music videos with you. He open up on a website called YouTube. Soon Margo, Edith, Agnes and Antonio were listening to lots of different music videos. They watched ''I Want it That Way'' by Backstreet Boys, ''Thnks fr th Mmrs'' by Fall Out Boy, ''Life is a Highway'' by Rascal Flatts and many more.
How entertained they were!
