Summary: Toph is a blind girl that has never been aloud outside, but then she runs away and bumps into someone who she eventually starts thinking she might have feelings for.
P.S I suck at summaries so please read and be nice on the reviews cause this is my first FF.
Chapter 1
Toph hugged her pillow tighter as the sound of thunder once again reached her ears. She hated thunder; it frightened her. Its suddenness always caught her off guard. "Why does it seem that bad things always seem to happen to me simultaneously," she thought sadly. She had just had a fight with her parent's an hour ago. " We are doing this because we love you," her parents had used that line many times to try and justify keeping her locked away in her room. " Just because I'm blind they think I am a helpless little girl," she screamed into her pillow. Then she started packing a bag with food and water (and an umbrella just incase). Then she climbed out the window with one last thought " I hope I never have to see this place ever again."
"Hey Aang wait up," yelled Katara as she hurried through a crowd of shoppers after him. Katara, Aang, and Sokka were currently shopping for supplies, which wasn't easy due to the swarming shoppers all around them. Katara found Aang staring at a red and blue shawl that a vender was selling. " The way all these people are acting one would think they were under attack," Katara thought with an annoyed expression on her face. Then she heard people shouting, " Get her." Then a girl with black hair bumped into her. " Sorry, excuse me," the girl said quickly then ran past her. " Well, she sure was cute," Katara thought. She gasped as she realized what she was thinking. "What's wrong Katara," Aang asked, "nothing," replied Katara.then two earthbenders ran past her after the black hiared girl.
A few hours later Aang, Katara, and Sokka checked into a hotel for the night. As they were getting ready to go to bed Aang said " I wonder why those earthbenders were chasing that girl. Katara fought back a blush as she thought about how the girl had bumped into her and her thoughts right after. " What are you talking about," Sokka asked with a confused look on his face. "While we were shopping a girl running from some earthbenders in armor bumped into Katara," said Aang as he walked to his bedroom door. " Well goodnight everybody,' he said then went to bed, Sokka and Katara followed not long after.
Toph Ran into an ally and hid behind a pile of garbage. She could here her pursuers pass by the ally. " Looks like I lost t them," she thought with a sigh of relief. Then she thought about what happened earlier in the day." I'm lucky that the person I bumped into didn't give me to the guards." "I'll have to thank whoever it was," then she drifted off into a peaceful sleep. The next morning she woke up to the usual crowds of people. She then left the alley and looked for a place to eat (which was hard since she couldn't see). She then heard someone ordering food. "Yes," she thought as she headed into the building the voice came from. She then felt familiar vibration in the earth. "It's the person bumped into yesterday," she realized.
I'll have the fried saber-tooth-moose-bear-cub," Katara told the waiter. Katara then looked around the restaurant, and saw the girl from yesterday.
