A/N: This is kinda like the other fanfic I posted not long ago only with Nine's regeneration. I think I will write one for Ten's regeneration and the Classic Who Doctors when I see it. Anyway I hope you like it and I'm sorry for any feels this may cause.

The Daleks were gone. Rose had done it. But the Doctor didn't care. He was worried. Worried for his companion.

"Rose. You've done it. Now stop. Just let go."

Her eyes were gold and she seemed paralysed even consumed.

"How can I let go of this? I bring life"

He knew what was coming next but he couldn't stop it. He could try though.

"But this is wrong!" he exclaimed. "You can't control life and death."

Rose finally turned to him. "But I can. The sun and the moon. The day and night. But why do they hurt?"

He understood right there and then what he had done. "The power's gonna kill you and it's my fault"

Rose continued as if she couldn't hear him. "I can see everything. All there is. All there was. All that never could be."

With every word she spoke the wound in his heart widened. Her broken voice broke his hearts. He got up realising what he had to do. He had to take the power from her... And into him.

"That's what I see. All the time. Doesn't it drive you mad?"

"My head" Her voice was full of pain.

"Come here."

"It's killing me."

"I think you need a Doctor."

He leaned in and kissed her taking the power of the TARDIS away. She fainted in his arms and he gently put her down, then transferred the power back to the TARDIS. He knew what was coming. He knew this was his end. He also knew Jack was alive. But he couldn't take him. He was wrong.

When Rose woke up, she seemed not to remember. When he asked her about it, the Time Lord realised she remembered a few things. But not what she did. Not the defeat of the Daleks.

He looked at his hand laying on the controls. The golden shine coming from his skin could only mean one thing. Regeneration. He decided it was time to start his goodbye. He started rambling and laughing. Talking about Barcelona and all the things they could've done together. All the places they could've visited. He went on and on until he finally said it.

"Maybe you'll go. Maybe I'll go. But not like this."

Rose didn't understand, he knew that. But he kept talking about the change.

He finally got the words he had to say out of him. He had to tell her. He couldn't leave her clueless of what was happening.

"It's a bit dodgy, this process."

He saw Rose's smile falter. He kept going.

"You never know what you're gonna end up with."

A sharp pain ran through his stomach and he doubled in pain. He was emitting that golden light. The golden light he had dreaded so much. He heard Rose run over to him screaming his name.

"Get away"

He managed to stop the light but the pain was still there. Rose was demanding an explication and he gave it to her. He could barely get the words out because of the pain. The regeneration was almost upon him. He could feel it.

"Before I go..." he started but Rose cut him off.

"Don't say that"

But he continued, saying the words as fast as he could. He had to say it.

"Before I go, I just wanna tell you you were fantastic." He offered her a wide smile.

"Absolutely fantastic." A wider smile.

Realisation rose over him.

"And you know what?" He kept smiling as Rose shook her head. "So was I." A smile appeared on his Bad Wolf's face.

He couldn't hold it back any longer. He let go. His time as the Doctor was over.
