Chapter One
That was how you found him, lying face down by the side of the small lake where you fish for your normal supper. You expected to go out and come with a good haul of fish before dark as Track beasts usually roamed this Terra at night and you didn't want another encounter with them.
The sun was beginning to set over the pink horizon; the distant howls of Track beasts made you panic slightly. Calling over your trusted hawk, whom you befriended after you were stranded on the Terra, {Pet Name} to check on the Track beasts as [She/He] flew off towards the far side of the Terra, you studied the state of the boy. You assumed he must have fallen from a great height, due to his injuries. He was bleeding heavily, kneeling down to his level you checked that he was still, if he wasn't you'd let the Track Beasts have and to keep your Terra safe you'd do anything. Carefully you tipped his head to the side to be facing you, now you had a better look at his face. He was handsome; you had to admit it he was good looking. His cherry red hair drooped over his eyes, they were already shut. The blue and red- now mainly red- patched uniform clung tight on his body with a rip mark on his back where something used to be, he wore a lot of armour on his shoulders, arms, legs and chest.
"Who are you?" You whisper as though he could hear you. "Where are you from?" A sudden loud screech interrupted you, snapping you head round in the direction of the screech. You spotted a dark shape slowly coming towards you. It was unmistakeable, it was a Track Beast. The smell of the boy's blood must have lured them quicker than expected. [Swear word] you thought. There was no time to get him back to your base; you had to think of something and quick.
You grabbed the boy and pulled him away from the water's edge. He wasn't that heavy, it was the added armour that was the problem. Quickly glancing over at the patch of advancing Track Beasts, they were closing in more rapidly. You began to rip off the armour, constantly glancing over at the advancing predators. Once all the armour was off, you came across a blade in his hand. His grip was relaxed and you made a choice. You had to fight them off.
Grabbing the blade you held it out in front of you as you stood protectively over the boy. [Pet Name] landed beside you as you took a deep breath. The blade activated, bright blue energy radiated out of the blade. It took you by surprise, but the Track Beasts didn't care. They wanted meat.
I'm back, so sorry about the long absents. My bad, anyway I re-wrote this start of Injured just because I didn't like it. And I'm writing my own book(hopefully)
and struggling a little bit, I just can't find the right plot. So unfortunately I will not be on for a long, long time. Sorry.
All the best for everyone,
Mid :)
Plus before I go, I want to thank all the lovely reviewers who take the time to read my fic's and encourage me to keep going with these stories. Thank you all.
