AN: This plot fox is one of my oldests, and most stubborn. I hope you enjoy. Please R&R!

Alex looked up for where he was studying one of the books that Salinor had given him when he felt a magic signature come near him. The bottle necked gib that was balancing on the corner of his desk, swayed slightly.

"Do you have a letter for me?" Alex asked.

The gib's head turned into a bell as it dinged yes.

"May I have it?" Alex asked.

The gib dinged again and a slit oped as the letter came out. Alex recognized the handwriting on the envelope as Mister Roberts, his adopted uncle and retired adventurer. Alex wondered what he needed, but then shrugged as he opened it.

Dear Alex,

I need your help. One of the customers that came into the bar today has magic and a lot of it, but he is being hunted by some of the magic users on this side of the gate. I don't know what they want him for, but I think that it is really bad. I know that you might be busy, but I was hoping you would take him in and maybe teach him.

Alex, I know that it is not my place to tell you this, but I think that you need to know. The boy, he has scars, lots of them and some are really old. he doesn't trust and he flinches at a lite touch. Please respond as soon as you can.

Thanks

Alex wondered about the knowledge that there was magic users on the other side of the gate. He was brought out of his musings by the gib as it was swaying ignited.

"I am sorry. Have you been paid?" The gib's head turned into a bike horn as it honked no. Alex reached into his magic bag and tossed an small diamond at the gib. The gib left a pile of gold and silver coins after it had caught the gem.

"Can you take a reply back?" Alex asked and the gib dinged. "Okay, give me a sec." He then grabbed a pen and paper, saying that he would be happy to take the boy in and asked when he could come get him. He gave it to the gib and said, "If you require further payment, you can come back." the gib dinged and popped away after it took the letter.

Alex wondered about the boy that he was taking in and realized that he didn't even know his name. His instinct told him that who ever this was ould be important, and he trusted his instincts.

Harry was worried about meeting this person that the owner of the bar said was coming. He really hoped that they would be able to help him, but he was worried that they would try to turn him into a weapon, like the last person that wanted to "help" him. Harry looked up as he felt a really powerfully magical energy came toward the Happy Dragon. Something about it reminded him of the silver dragon he saw in his dreams.

The dreams confused him, because they showed his other form, the one that he know that he would be killed for, if anyone know about it. His thoughts fled when the door opened and the one that he had felt walked in. HIs entire being zoned in on the new person. Harry noticed that Mr. Roberts got up to greet the person, but he didn't hear what was being said. He snapped out of it, when the two started coming toward him.

Who ever this person was, they were powerfully, and his instincts were telling him that he was important. He trusted his instincts.
