I was in my room. I was looking at the press clippings that I had on my wall. I was looking all over the wall. My eyes landed onto a picture of Starfire and myself. It was a casual picture of us. In the picture we were looking at each other with a smile on our faces. I started thinking about her. I felt a smile on my face. I left my room. I went to her room. I knocked on the door. I didn't hear her say "Come in.". I opened and peeked inside. "Star?" I didn't see her. "Starfire?" No response. I left her room. I went to the living room. I saw Raven sitting on the couch reading her book. Cyborg and Beast Boy were playing the racing game. "Guys, have you seen Starfire?"
"No, haven't seen her," Cyborg said.
"No, sorry," Beast Boy said.
"No," Raven said. They continued doing what they were doing before I asked my question.
I thought, Where can she be? My feet started leading me. I opened the door onto the roof. I saw Starfire sitting looking out into the city. "Hi Star," I said as I sat down next to her.
She looked at me and gave me her pretty smile. "Hello Robin."
"What are you doing out here?"
"I am gathering the thoughts." I smiled a little. "What about you?"
"I am doing the same."
"May I ask what are your thoughts of?"
"My thoughts are about you." I saw her look away from me and clearly blush. I kept looking at her.
She seemed embarrassed or shy, but she said, "My thoughts are about you too." She looked at me. Our faces were a few inches apart from one another's. "Robin."
"Star." Starfire stood up. I followed. She walked to the edge. I followed her again. A few moments in silence went past. She was either looking out or looking down, I couldn't tell. I was looking at the back of her head, hoping – wishing she would turn around. A few more moments in silence. She turned around. We remained standing where we stood.
"Robin," Starfire said as she took my hand.
"Starfire," I said as I took her other hand. We looked at our hands. Then we looked at one another. Smiles were on our faces. As I kept looking at her, I didn't notice the scenery around us had changed. The next thing I knew is that we were flying together, but we were in the same position we were before. Together holding hands, looking at one another. Our grip on our hands got tighter, not because we were scared, but we were happy because we are together. "Star," I said.
"Robin, stop talking," Starfire said. We flew together in silence, looking at one another, being happy because we have each other.
