Sorry that it's so short but it's my first one- shot, I hope it's not too awful :P

Grantaire clumsily stumbled back to the apartment that he shared with Enjolras, well – not exactly shared – Grantaire was going to stay there until he could find a place of his own. And Enjolras wasn't so enthusiastic about the idea in the first place. There were remains of the alcohol which he had drunken in his breath and the room spun round and round abnormally. Tears fell down his face while every part of him inside broke. His heart shattered into a million tiny pieces and stabbed his insides. He could stand whispered comments, disapproving looks, sniggers, but not this. The words that Enjolras spoke broke Grantaire, "You don't believe in anything."

Oh but he had heard that before, he had heard it may times. But from Enjolras? "I believe in you Enjolras," he repeated to himself numerous times, trying to block out what Enj

olras had said. It didn't work. "You don't believe in anything, you don't believe in anything, you don't believe in anything," Grantaire forcefully hit his head, just wanting to make it stop. "Stop!" Grantaire shouted at the invisible Enjolras standing in front of him, yelling that exact same thing.

Everything that had happened replayed in his head.

"Grantaire, you're late, again," Enjolras snapped, without even turning around to face him, as he slowly tried to sneak into the café unnoticed.

"I'm sorry," Grantaire muttered nervously, actually meaning it for once.

"Sorry isn't good enough Grantaire!" Enjolras shouted, "you don't even care about what we speak of, you scoff at our ideas, so why stay? Just leave Grantaire, we don't need you. You don't believe in anything."

Grantaire had held back the tears, he had done well at holding them back, none came out. That is – until he got out, then the tears began to pour.

"I do believe in something - you, Enjolras, I have always believed in you and I always will," he thought. If only Enjolras realised.

Grantaire slowly and hesitantly picked up a bottle of wine, raising it to his lips. But – just before he drank from it he stopped, "no," he told himself, "I will show Enjolras, I will take part in his damned revolution and he will know, he will know I care about things, he will know I care about him."

"This revolution will kill all of them, I may as well die with them, there's no one left to miss me. Never was anyone who cared about me," he thought.

He was no one, he was nothing to Enjolras. No, he was worse than nothing, he was a bother and all everyone ever did to him was treat him like dirt. Oh, how he loved Enjolras, he would do anything or Enjolras. Just wanted to be near him, to help him… oh, how that backfired.

"I love you Enjolras," he said right before he stabbed himself in the stomach with a wine bottle.

Review or PM? Like I said before it's my first one- shot so if you didn't like it can you tell me why? If anyone actually likes it I might do Enjolras' reaction so let me know :P
