Rose Weasley pulled her Quidditch robe on in the Gryffindor locker room. She and two of her cousins - Lily, a seeker, and James, a beater- were to play Slytherin where her other cousin - Albus, a seeker,- played. Matches between Gryffindor and Slytherin were notoriously long and brutal. Rose was looking forward to it. There was no way to deny it. The season before Slytherin had crushed Gryffindor, and Rose being the Keeper felt it was her fault. This time that was not going to happen.
"Oi! Rose!" Called James, who was also the captain, from the other side the locker room. Rose turned to look at him. "You ready?" Rose nodded. "Don't let us lose this time."
Rose knew James was just joking because she knew that he knew she felt guilty for last season, but it still made her made. "Shove off James," Rose said glaring and shoving him away to get her broom from the closet.
"I'm just joking Rose!" James called after her but she just waved it off and left the locker room.
Rose started walking to the gate to wait for the rest of her team when she ran into, literally, Scorpius Malfoy with Al following close behind. "Ready to lose Malfoy?" Rose said after she shoved him off of her.
"Well Weasley, I vaguely remember that I whooped your butt last season. So I think you are and your silly family are going to lose." Scorpius said this rolling his eyes at her.
"Guys, quite fighting about it! Does it really matter who wins?" Al said trying to make peace among the friends for in truth Scorpius and Rose really were good friends, but Quidditch had a tendency to come between them.
By this time the rest of the Gryffindor team had joined the group with James and Lily standing closest. "Yes Al. It does matter. How about a bet Malfoy?" Rose said jabbing her finger into Scorpius's chest.
"Fine. If Gryffindor wins?"
"You jump into the Great Lake. At noon. Naked."
"Rose! That's mean! Don't make him do that!" Lily shouted from behind her and tried to run up to them.
"Stop Lils," James said. "Let them hash it out." James grabbed his sister and pulled her back.
"And if Slytherin wins, you kiss me. In the Great Hall. At lunch. Deal?"
"Done." Rose stuck her hand out and Scorpius grabbed it and they shook on it.
"See you on the pitch." Scorpius shoved passed her and the rest of the team.
"Nice going Rose. I can't take sides on this." Albus said pushing passed and following his friend.
Rose rolled her eyes and finished walking to the gate.
Three and a half hours later the Gryffindor team was rejoicing having won the match; by a lot. 220 to 50. Rose was looking forward to the next afternoon.
"Rose?" Lily, nice little Lily said tugging on her shirt. "Are you really going to make him do it?"
There was a glow in Rose's eye. "Of course I am. And I'm going to watch to make sure he does it."
Lily sighed and walked away.
The next afternoon Scorpius, Rose, James and Al were standing on the edge of the lake. Along with several other people who had heard about the bet or were just hanging out around the lake. Lily was no where to be found.
"Scared Malfoy?" Rose asked.
"Never." Right then Scorpius stripped down, ran and jumped into the lake blowing a kiss to his fans. He swam to the edge of the lake and climbed out. Rose met him at the edge and handed him a towel. "See? Did it."
Rose was laughing. "You are awesome." Rose then hugged the towel clothed boy and kissed his cheek. "And thanks for letting me win."
