Roses, Swords, and Sleepless Nights
Hey this is my first fan-fic just to let you know I'm giving Sano a more compassionate role in this story so go along with it. Enjoy and please review! ^_~
Chapter one: Quirk of fate, the market meeting
It was a sun-spangled morning in Tokyo and Sano woke as usual dreading getting out of bed. But something was different today. Sano wiped the sleep from the corners of his eyes, yawned and scratched his back. He felt unusually happy and full of vigor. He immediately went outside to meet kenshin-cooking breakfast.
"Oh don't bother with that kenshin ill go and get us something to eat." Said Sano nonchalantly. Kenshin looked confused and put out the stove, taking advantage of Sano's cheerfulness.
Sano jogged his way down to the market but was stopped midway by a flower stand. He saw a flawless red rose among wilting ones. Sano had a passion for the color red, and an admiration for roses because they could be so beautiful yet if you touch them, their thorns prick you. He bought it immediately without thinking and threw his money at the clerk not even remembering his change.
He was starting to become late and didn't want to disappoint his friends at the dojo. He ran through the market aimlessly picking up items as he went when he knocked over a hooded woman.
"Excuse me!" the woman cried.
"Oh pardon me I'm terribly sorry, here let me help you!" said Sano quite embarrassed.
"Don't worry its no problem." Said the woman somewhat stressed. She took off her hood.
Sano looked up at this mysterious maiden. His heart skipped a beat. This girl was beautiful beyond words. She had pale blue eyes, lips as red as the rose he bought, and hair colored after the golden dawn.
"Is there a problem?" the woman asked somewhat uncomfortably.
"I am Sanosuke Sagara." Sanosuke said without thinking, oh how he wished he could have taken it back! How stupid he must have felt! He handed her the rose almost reflexively.
The woman looked at the rose and blushed. " My name is.. My name.. is Destiny."
Sano was relieved that this woman had actually talked to him!
"Roses are something aren't they?" said Sano nervously.
"Oh yes!" said Destiny, "My father grew them when I lived with him in the mountains. I haven't really seen one so beautiful in so long, ever since I left my home to look for a dojo to train in swordsmanship."
"You're interested in swordplay? Why I live at a dojo! My room mate Kaoru would be just ecstatic to have another woman in the house." Said Sano with a grin.
"That would be fantastic! Thank you so much sir!" She threw her arms around Sano and began to cry.
"Is something wrong?" said Sano sympathetically for once, as he looked at her with curious eyes.
" No I'm just so happy I found some acceptance here! My first day in this big city and I have found a home!" she said amazed.
She hugged Sano for a minute without words, just silent person-to- person communication. He felt how warm and delicate her body was he let his hands glide down her marvelous curves.
He suddenly snapped back into reality "Uhhh why don't we get going now??" He grabbed her hand and led her back home their were no words on the way back they just would cast happy smiles at each other.
"Sano?" said destiny somewhat nervously.
"Yes ma'am?" said Sano as if snapping from a daydream that he didn't want to leave.
"Thank you for the rose.it meant more to me than you will ever know." She looked up and smiled at his gleaming face.
They were at the gates of the dojo and it would have a new resident. Destiny the girl from the market met by chance and a chance at Sano's heart.
Hope you liked it! I'll make more later. Review please!
