"Heeeeeey are you finished yet?" Marceline called out, kicking the door impatiently with her heel as she leaned against it.
"No not yet!" Prince Gumball replied from within.
She huffed, blowing her bangs out of her face. Whatever he was doing, he had been doing it for the past two hours.
"How about now? You done now?" she tried again.
"Almost…just trust me it will be worth the wait I swear!"
She grumbled,"…fine…"
Crossing her arms she waited silently outside in the middle of the castle hall.
In complete.
Utter.
Silence.
"…Ok…I think it's about don-"
Gumball didn't even have a chance to finish before the Vampire Queen burst through the door.
"Finally! Jeez dude what the glop has been taking you this-"
And there he was, with possibly the biggest smile on his face and the greatest cupcake she had ever seen in her life held out on a plate for her.
She could smell the sweet red velvet color from where she stood, covered in red sprinkles, red heart shaped candies, red frosting and red flag with a tiny 'M' to top it all off.
Her jaw dropped, nearly on the point of drooling as her fangs itched. It looked freaking delicious.
Gumball blushed lightly, "Sorry it took so long" he mumbled sheepishly, gently pushing the small plate forward slightly, regaining her attention.
Taking it from his grasp she stared at him for a moment, him and his big cheesy smile. Despite running a kingdom by himself and successfully keeping the peace for years, he couldn't have looked more proud of himself than right at this very moment.
She couldn't help but laugh and place a kiss on his cheek.
His smile grew as she nuzzled against his face, possibly hiding the massive blush growing on her own cheeks, "You are such a dork"
