It was a beautiful summer's day in the Hundred Acre Wood, and Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit and Eeyore were on there way to have Supper at Owl's house. Along the way, they talked about the fact that Christopher Robin went on vacation to a place called "Germany".

"D-Do you suppose he'll g-g-g-get sick when he gets there?", asked Piglet.

"I hope not!" said Tigger. "Otherwise he'll probably catch a cold just being there!"

"Don't be silly Tigger!", said Rabbit. "He would have to be near someone who already has a cold if he was going to catch one."

"Oh bother.", said Pooh. "I suppose that means we will all have colds when he comes back."

"I'll probably catch one too.", groaned Eeyore. "Not that there would be anyone generous enough to give me one."

Soon, they reached Owl's house and climbed up the latter to his front door. There, Pooh rang the bell, and Owl came up to greet them."

Why hello.", he said. "Your just in time. Please come in and take your seat."

As they were eating their supper, they talked about how some of their friends have left to go to places they never been to or heard of. For instance, yesterday, Gopher began digging in hopes of finding a place called "China". Earlier, Kanga and Roo left to go visit "The Land Down Under", and Christopher Robin has left for vacation to "Germany".

"Why are you afraid of Christopher Robin going to Germany?", asked Owl.

"Because we're afraid he might get sick.", said Piglet.

"Yeah, because of all the germs down there.", said Tigger.

As soon as he realized what they were talking about, Owl laughed an explained to them the truth about Christopher Robins vacation destination.

"Germany isn't filled with germs.', he said. "It is a country."

Pooh and his friends were still confused. "What's a Contrary?", asked Tigger.

Owl laughed. "No. A Country.", he said. "It is a huge area inhabited by the people who own it. Each country in the world has different people, each with a different culture."

"A culture?", asked Pooh.

"A culture is a way of life.", answered Owl. After answering Pooh's question, Owl flew to the top of nearest book shelf and pick up what looked liked a blue ball with strange colored shapes on it.

"This is what the world looks like.", he said. "And this is where Christoper Robin went.", he added as he pointed to a small shape labeled "Germany."

Pooh and the rest of his friends were puzzled as they looked at the strange round shape Owl was holding. Could this be the world he was talking about?

"Oh my!", said Piglet. "I didn't know the world was so small."

"I know." said Tigger as he grabbed the strange ball out of Owl's wings. "Christopher Robin must have gotten so small that he is so hard to see.", he added as he began to shake it up and down, hoping that Christopher Robin would pop out.

"Be careful with that!", shouted Owl, as he gently took the object out of Tigger's hands.

"This isn't the actual world." he said to his bouncy friend. "This is a model called a globe. The world we live in is much bigger and so are its countries.", he explained.

Pooh and his friends were amazed. They didn't know the world was bigger than the globe in Owl's wing.

"Oh d-d-d-dear.", stuttered Piglet. "The world must be b-b-b-big for such a small animal such as myself."

"Indeed it is.", said Owl. "Yet the world has so much to offer once you have seen it. My Great Uncle Philleas once took a journey around the world. It took him 80 days to do so. Sometimes, I wish I could travel around the world someday."

After Owl finished what he said, Pooh and his friends talked with each other and began to think. Finally, they came up with an idea.

"Owl?", asked Pooh. "Is it possible for us to travel around the world?"

This caught Owl's attention. "What do you mean Pooh?", he asked.

Before Pooh could Answer, Rabbit interrupted and answered for him. "Well we were just thinking if it would be a good idea to see the world someday.", he said.

"That would be a marvelous idea!", exclaimed Owl. "In fact, why don't we plan to start traveling the world tomorrow? That way, we can begin packing."

Pooh and his friends thought it was a grand idea, and shouted "Hooray!".

"Then it's settled,", said Owl. "Tomorrow, we will begin our journey around the world. Until now, we must begin packing what we would like to take with us. Good bye now."

Soon enough, Pooh and his friends returned to their homes to begin packing for their world adventure.
