Esme POV

"You may now kiss the bride."

The words echoed in my ears but I almost couldn't believe it.

I was getting married.

Every little girls dream was mine. Complete with a dress with a train, a bite of cake to mess your husband's face with, and a sweet little flower girl to lead everyone down the aisle.

I was getting married.

To the perfect man none the less.

I still couldn't believe it while he was kissing me. Or while we floated down the aisle, down the steps while being pelted by rice. Or during the honeymoon.

It finally became real to me the morning after (which sounds like a horrible hangover) while we lay in bed basking in happiness.

I was now Mrs. Cullen.

I turned my head and gave my husband a peach drunk smile which he returned with one of his own.

"What now Mrs. Cullen?" he asked me, clasping my hand in his. "I like the sound of that," he mused.

"So do I," I smiled lazily. "So do I."

We lay in comfortable silence for a little, looking at the ceiling and each other with the most ridiculous smiles on our faces.

"Did you ever dream about this?" I asked him suddenly. "When you were a kid I mean. This life? You know, being a doctor, being married, having a life to call your own."

"That my dear, is a wonderful question," he replied pondering this.

"What did you dream about? When you were little, before you went to sleep."

"Being a baseball player," he laughed. "With adoring fans screaming my name as I rounded third base heading for home plate," he turned to look at me. "Crazy, right?"

"No, not crazy, nice." I replied with a faint smile. "Do you still think about that now? And how far away your life is? Do you regret not having it?" I asked seriously.

"Now how could I regret anything?" he lifted my hand and kissed it. "I am married to the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on," he pronounced. "What about you? What did you think about?"

"Don't laugh at me," I warned.

"How could I ever?"

"Well," I said, a blush staining my fair skin. "I have always wanted to kiss my prince charming under the Eiffel tower in Paris," I admitted. "Happy?"

"Deliriously my dear," he smiled his angelic smile. "Do you still want that?"

I laughed at him as I stroked his hand with my thumb.

"No, I'm being completely serious," he told me.

"Well, I have my prince charming."

"Well I'm going to make it happen. You, me, the Eiffel tower, Paris, a French poodle, some French bread, we have a date."

"Stop it!" I laughed, smacking his arm lightly.

"No, I promise you, the two of us will have a magical moment. Just like you always wanted," he nodded to himself, pleased with this goal.

"Well, on the subject of dreams and wishes and impossible things, what are you dreaming about right now?" I tilted my head towards him and his brow furrowed in a thinking face.

"Us," he nodded determinedly. "And our wonderful life together…" he trailed off in thought, staring into space.

"Good," I whispered almost to myself. "Cause that's my wish too."

So, new story. Love? Hate? (Hope not!) If you were wonderful and read it please review. I have a lot of ideas about where to go with this and I want your opinion!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
