Inuyasha
Miroku x Sango
Rain
The sky was getting darker.
Miroku had just put his three kids to bed. But Sango wasn't home yet.
She went to help her brother to slay a demon and it's been a week.
He's had help from Inuyasha, Kagome, and Rin. But still the kids missed their mother. And he missed his wife.
There was a loud crash. The sky flashed. And then...
Rain. It began to rain.
Miroku sighed. "Of all things. It had to rain." He could think of many guys offering Sango a place to stay for the night from the rain.
But every time he did he got more angry.
There was no way Sango would do that. But still.
"Where are you?" He asked himself.
The rain was coming down hard. Was there any chance of her coming home at all?
Miroku stood at the door watching the rain come down.
Miroku heard footsteps. He turned to see the twins standing there.
Rubbing their eyes one of them said: "Daddy. I can't sleep."
And the other said: "Where is mommy?"
Miroku sighed. "Come sit here." He patted his lap.
Both the twins came over and sat down.
"Mommy is caught in the rain here." He said.
"Rain." They both said.
"Yup. There is a rain goddess who needs to water the plants of the earth. And the animals need water too." He said.
"Is the goddess keeping mommy away?" One asked.
"No. Mommy will run through this rain all the way back here. To her home. Eventually the rain goddess will stop. She doesn't what to flood the earth." He said.
"Why does the goddess water the earth?" The other twin asked.
Miroku though about how to tell this.
"Because she's hurting." He said.
"Is she okay?" They both begin to worry.
"Not to worry. She's only doing it for her love. The goddess fell in love with a mortal man. But one day he went off to fight and was killed. So she made it rain to morn over his death. And because she fell for him, she will make it rain to let him know she will care for the earth's living things in memory of him." He explained.
Both the twins looked out at the rain and smiled. "She must be happy to do it for him." One of them said.
"Yes indeed."
"Daddy. Do you think will be like that? be sad and never find love?" His other twin asked.
"No. You will. If I can marry your mother and she loves me for who I am then you two will most certainly will find a man who will love you and you will love him." He said.
"Now off to bed with you." He said.
Then there off in the distance was a figure. Running to them.
"And there she is." He sighed with relief. Sango was running as fast as she could to reach her home. To reach her children and husband.
"Mommy!" The twins shouted.
Miroku let them go run to her in the rain. He went to get there youngest one who had been crying for a minute now.
As he came out Sango was hugging her children.
He ran out with a cloth over the baby. He finally reached Sango and she kissed him.
The twins said ew but they loved their parents.
"I missed you." Sango said.
"I'm so glad your home. I was getting worried." He said.
Sango laughed. "It will rain till the goddess comes home to her love." She said.
As soon as she said it the rain stopped. Looking up the dark clouds disappeared and in view was beautiful stars in the sky.
"Bye bye Goddess of rain!" The twins shouted.
Sango glared at Miroku. "They were worried about you too being in the rain." He said.
She let it slide for now. She really was happy to be home.
"Let's go inside and dry off. You children need to be in bed." Sango said as she lead them back to bed.
The End.
