Whoa there, friend, I think you need to slow down. O.O (My sister and I reference that video.)

But, yeah. I'm alive. I haven't posted something in a while. I've just not really had inspiration for fanfics, especially since I'm also trying to work on just normal fics too. Not that fanfics are bad, but I think I would become a better writer if I tried doing something different, ya know?

I was just not able to get a good idea and be able to roll with it. I had told my sister what was happening, and she told me, "You're all excuses! You should write something about excuses!" When I walked away, I was like '...That's genius.'

On with the story!

"Enough already. I've heard them all before." Colonel Mustang snaps.

Dark eyes, the same color as his, steadily gaze at him.

"I won't fall for the headache, or stomachache, or whatever other excuses you've used before!"

A frown and persistent stare.

"I now order you to leave me alone!"

A sound of protest falls out of the mouth.

"You heard me!"

A louder one with a stamp of the foot.

"No."

A loud, unintelligible yell that sounds a little like "Roy!"

"No! I refuse to let it slide!"

The demanding tone was not working. Change of plan. Initiate the innocent puppy-eyed look.

"Not this! You're military, for crying out loud!" Roy mutters as he covers his face with his hand.

Very determined. Keeps making face.

"...Fine. Come here." Mustang gives in and makes hand gestures, letting his furry foe jump onto his lap. He laughs as he rubs the black-and-white head and belly, never having noticed that the door was open throughout the whole event.

"You do realize you were arguing with a dog, sir?" Hawkeye states as she fully enters and walks over to her superior's desk.

"...He's a worthy opponent." Roy replies in an embarrassed manner as Black Hayate licks his hand and yips happily.

Totally got you, huh? ;) I wanna know who you thought it was or was expecting until the reveal at the end. You don't have to say anything else in the review. Seriously. XD

I think I like Black Hayate more than Den. Not really sure why, since they're pretty similar... *thoughtful look*
