Disclaimer: I do NOT own any of the characters of Basket Case (the movie). They are property of Frank Henenlotter. I only made this fanfic for fun. Enjoy, don't enjoy, whatever. Early 1980's New York.
A young man by the name of Duane Bradley from upstate New York has come down to lower Manhattan to have a new life. He seems like an average joe on the street. Or maybe not. You see he carries around a big basket with a lid on it. What's in it you might be asking? Well that would be telling.
He is approximately in his twenties and is a likeable young man. However he has had an extreme past. He was separated from his horribly deformed twin brother when he was a child. It took the effort from three doctors to try to get him to calm down and relax before they could do anything with him. He refused to be separate from his Siamese-twin. His father would not have anything to do with them because of the death of his wife giving birth to them. Duane's father refused to let them live life together and hoped this would give Duane a normal life.
In the end, all seemed perfect. The surgery went well and now Duane moved to Manhattan and appears to be normal. However as he was walking down the street with his backpack and big basket a man wearing a baseball cap came up to him.
"What's in the basket, kid?" said the man.
"Just clothes." Replied Duane.
"Really," said the man. And he quickly yanked Duane into an alley before anyone could stop him. "I'm gonna ask you one more time, man. What's in the basket?"
"I said just clothes!" replied Duane angrily.
The man soon pulled out a knife and pointed it at Duane. He really wanted what was in the basket. Duane thought of yelling for help but had a better idea.
"Okay, you want what is in here. Take it."
After Duane said that, he took a key and unlocked the basket. The man, being incredibly greedy quickly opened up the basket.
"GWAAAUUUGHH!"
The man then screamed in absolute terror as a horrible looking creature leaped from the basket and latched onto his face. It began to sink its razor sharp nails into the would-be mugger's face and neck. He struggled to free himself but the more he did so, the more the monster clung to him. The man screamed and screamed but no one even bothered to look outside their windows. It was New York City after all.
Then the man struggled to free himself only to be slammed against a wall and knocking over garbage cans. Then he was pinned against the wall and couldn't reach for his knife. Then the beach ball sized creature with arms and a head with a mouth full of sharp teeth slashed the mugger's jugular vein causing him to stop struggling. But the monster wasn't done.
It sank its nails into the man's neck so deeply and managed to sever his head. The would-be mugger was finally dead.
Duane looked at the creature from the basket started panting heavily. It made its way back into the basket on the ground. "Good job," he said calmly. "I can't believe nobody noticed. Idiots."
Soon he was running towards the end of the alley to get out. It WAS in fact Duane's deformed Siamese-twin brother.
