These are my Raistlin poems. They've never seen the light of day, until
now. Criticize all you want, I need it.

"Cause"
Was it the fiction of light
That lie burning through your blood
With a heat so strong
It could melt the strongest steel
And let you shape it with delicate hands
To a sword only you could wield?
***
"Find"
Wave your slender hand
So the night sky may reveal
The stolen galaxy, hidden
Beneath the fire of your eyes
And in the bliss may I find
All the night-god will conceal
With a whisper, with a breath
I will make the fallen stars sing
Their embittered death sonnet
And in the melody illuminate
Your dark love held so dear
***
"Your Eyes"
You, too proud to weep
For the beauty that you lost
Was that what horrified you
The first time you saw
Through the cursed gold eyes
That you never had the chance to appreciate
The beauty you denied?
Tell me, embittered one,
When you lay in twisted sleep
Does death stain your dreams?
